Being a house cat is boring, though! Especially now that I have to listen to my sister telling me every day that I'm weird because I talk to humans... And outside there's so many interesting cats and humans and smells and sounds and sights!

Anyway, if you want a bite and you're near the university -it's a bunch of buildings near the middle of the city where people go to learn. If you're near there, I can spare some leftovers if you need a bite.

Are you kidding? [This is a rumbling purr of amusement.] I'm not a mouse-brain, I know life is harder without humans. But that's what makes it worthwhile - every day I have a full belly it'll be because I worked hard for it, not because I laid around and looked cute. There's a lot of satisfaction in a hard life.

Well, yes, I can't exactly argue with that—but if I'm correct in assuming you've been a pet most, if not all, of your life, are you certain you're fully prepared for this? Not to mention there are still these "monsters" around. If you don't have somewhere safe you can return to, it could prove dangerous if they decide to make another appearance.
