I think we can all agree that the mines just sucked. Let's vent about that for a minute here. And any of you can rant away all you want in response about how much it sucked that we fell for a trap. I think we could all use it.

I haven't been able to sleep since then. I'm sick of seeing horrible things involving deaths. I'm sick of my roommate assuming that I'm doing weird things because a maid uniform suddenly appeared in my closet and she saw it before I could hide it. I'll definitely never live that one down and I didn't even buy the thing.

Definitely sick of bouncing between tired enough to pass out and like I drank a whole case of Red Bull without the need to pee every five minutes. That stuff is gross anyhow. And no, sleeping pills don't help.

If it wasn't for the fact that I can't just drop out of school and leave people I actually care about, I'd just go back home to my parents like I should have already done instead of taking summer classes. Can't even take a break from it because of what will happen when I return.

So anyone want to add any complaints beyond the we don't know if that guy was even telling the truth about that gem? Or if he was, where the others are and how to forge that seal he was talking about? It just sounds like something out of a fantasy novel, but we know what he said about the invaders is true enough.

If you post something like this to a community of people who are willing to listen and then say "actually, I don't want to talk about it" then what are we really meant to think:

There's a big difference between saying what is happening and going into detail on it. It's a side effect of an ability that I used too much in the mines.

Beyond that gets into TMI. You don't want to hear about it any more than most guys want to hear details about a girl's period.

[Yeah, someone is a bit blunt, but she's already seen the reaction to explaining the details from someone who actually is attracted to her. A stranger likely would freak out entirely at hearing that one of her abilities involves taking energy from living creatures.]

I truly have no preference, but I can imagine that it is easier to do your work with the patient showing up in person. I wasn't that badly injured or have anything that prevents me from being seen in public.

It is much easier, yes. There are subtle nuances to conversation that are often lost in textual conversations.

Weird ability you picked up cause it? That's what it is for me and the drinking a case of Red Bull analogy I made is actually not that far off the mark. Only Sam knows the full details of it so far since he accidentally saw the effects of it.

I'm not sure. For a long time I didn't really feel different other than that, but now... I don't know. I'm not really sure how to describe it.

I still can't believe we actually left someone behind back there. Even if he's okay. It's just like, what, really? On top of everything else?

Yeah, just another thing to hit home on the fact that we're not very organized and barely know what we're doing and that needs to be fixed.

Seriously. Kind of amazed everyone's alive. The whole thing could have caved in...

It is good someone broadcasted it so others were aware of what happened. It may have worried many, but it also ensured that outside assistance came in case of something like a cave in.

The only thing that would be better is if we had taken down names of people as they arrived and broadcast that as well. If not names, at least a head count of how many humans, cats, horses, or whatever we have and make sure someone knows where we are when going into something potentially dangerous.

Makes sense. It'd get resistance. We still don't know if the network's secure. Still, headcounts are good ideas even if they don't come with names.
