She doesn't like to have to ask this.] There's some that could do under the mountain in Vegas, but I kind of expect if I go alone my evil clone will come? She might anyway. She's, uh... the powers I'm getting are stronger if you're nasty and violent, which sucks. Help me out?

I have a danger sense and some telekinesis, but I don't think I should be too open about the rest.

"Danger sense?" I understand about not wanting to disclose everything, but can you elaborate more on that?

I don't really understand it all myself, buuuuut there's this current that goes everywhere, and connects all the places it touches. Part of me can read that and if there's something dangerous to me it hits my subconscious and I start feeling uneasy about, say, a door, or stepping onto the street at like a particular moment.

I don't suppose it's telling you anything reasonably useful now, about possible events on the horizon?

I don't think so. Just a very general kinda malaise.

That's something I'm afraid we all share at this time.

Yeah, I don't think I can tell the future. Or if I can it's like spider-sense and just immediate.

You can sense when spiders are nearby too? Or am I missing something?

You don't watch a lot of big American movies.

I was homeschooled. I kind of just saw the Muppets this year.

Ouch. You should see some of the Spider-Man movies. They're practically empty, but fun. The hero has sort of short-term precognition.

I don't have a lot of time for movies these days, so I'll take your word for it, and appreciate "short-term precognition" as a way to describe what you're experiencing.

Mmkay, then. Very short term, and it only applies if something could hurt me. Ghosts like me now, so I don't get warnings about them anymore.

Do you encounter those a lot? Ghosts, I mean. For awhile I thought I was seeing them.

All the time. There's a ton of them milling around London in like medieval clothes. And any animal or person going into a warp hole turns into one. People turn back when they leave, animals don't.

Is that troubling? Does it distract you, or do you ever have difficulty telling ghosts from normal people?

Um... no? It's pretty cool really. And most living people don't glow.

Most? You've met some that do?

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are Numbered who do.

You name anything and I can probably tell you a Numbered who does it.

Well, I know a parrot who turned into a sort of large dinosaur bird demigod. That comes pretty close, doesn't it?
