Exploring the ghost zone is great. It's a weird and new place and a certain set of siblings is having a field trip. Most of the time, they're together, but sometimes they split up or one of them goes alone.

They peek out through almost all doors that they find, unless Nat's Force senses tell her that something bad is behind the door (and then sometimes Fe opens it anyway). Maybe they look out at a street where your character is just standing, but maybe they open a door right into their bedroom too, or something else entirely...

He lets her take the page from him and studies her while she moves through her drawings, taking in her ears and hair (so much like that of the Elf that he remembers as Maitimo, Fëanáro's eldest son) but not commenting on anything yet. He is about to make a comment regarding Arnold but then Aubri says that one of the pictures is Arnold's father, and he moves around and to her side to look over her shoulder and see the picture that she is looking at.

"Why did you draw a lot of him?" He can easily see the resemblance (and really, it's not surprising. After all it is/i> him at some point in the future. Not 20 years, maybe, but still a future him.

She shrugs.
"I don't know. I just... really wanted to see his face sometimes. Sometimes it made me happy. Sometimes... not. But I still just wanted to see it."

People walking over his grave and all that - it's not a feeling that he can actually verify, considering that he's never been dead and buried, but if it is really a thing he imagines that it must be somewhat like this.

"But you don't know why it makes you happy or "not"?" There's a strong inflection on the 'not', though it doesn't carry a specific emotion.

"Up until very recently, I thought they were all just things I had made up. Artistic imagination. Lots of girls draw things like Elves or fairies or whatever, so it never seemed weird. I thought it was like that for everyone. And if I felt mad or frustrated, it was because I spent so long trying to get it just right, like it was the picture's fault somehow."

She frowned at him.
"Don't you feel the same way when you're tinkering sometimes?"

"Maybe." He takes a step away and finds a place to sit down. The answer is yes, more correctly, he assumes that he knows what she is talking about there. But at the same time... "I do, however, not draw pictures of people who exist in this life as well."

"I didn't know they looked like real people when I drew them, so that's not exactly fair. You don't expect real people to just walk into your life out of your drawings," she retorts. "It's not like I'm psychic... or... am I?"

"I don't expect some girl to draw me, either." He rubs his head - not quite a headache oncoming, but the motion feels rather appropriate anyway (okay, he might be a bit dramatic but really? Really?) "And maybe you are? For all we know Elves might just be."

"What does being a girl have to do with it?"

She gave him a hard look.
"...are you?"

"You've never seen me before." That sounds a lot more reasonable than 'it's weird', so let's go with that.

"And no. And at this point I can't tell if Fëanáro was."

"Still has nothing to do with me being a girl. Just maybe with me being a psychic."

She pursed her lips.
"So maybe not all of them, huh? But... You are him? What are you doing in my head like that?"

"An echoed memory." He shrugs and reaches around her to pick through the sketches, pushing the sheets away from the stack until they form a circle. "In the same way ...he here entered your head, Tyelkormo, Celegorm, Turkafinwë, a great hunter and beastmaster. Or ...he. Carnistir, Caranthir, Morifinwe, whose talents chiefly lie at his grandmother's side, and it is a pity that she does not remain to teach him.

This one. Maitimo, or Nelyafinwë, Russandol... Maedhros. The eldest, strong but with little talent in any area. A good older brother though, reliable and trustworthy.

Or Arnold, of course. Makalaurë, Maglor. A great singer and composer. Or any of their brothers. ...Are there no women that you remember in the same way?"
