prepare for trouble
Who: TWO large monsters duking it out, Walter trying to stop the one he's responsible for, and OPEN FOR DAMAGE CONTROL/FREAKING OUT
What: A hair monster and a stone bird wrecking a European capital
When: April 3rd
Where: Central London
Warnings: Destruction and chaos
[ He wanted some reflection. Some personal time. And he'd never been to London before. Spontaneity wasn't really Walter's thing, but he went, early in the morning so he could spend the afternoon and the majority of Good Friday in the capital.
If he had known how things would've turned out, he would've stayed at home. He would've never left his house again, because clearly, he cannot go anywhere without ruining absolutely everything.
He's unleashed the creature below London, and a colossus. Here, in the flesh (stone??). It just came out of nowhere, under him even. He didn't even have a chance to cling to its fur before it threw him off. Right at the hair. And evidently, that was considered an offensive move, because the hair went for the confused, thrashing colossus.
It all happened pretty quickly. In the end, London Bridge station is completely upended, the citizens are panicking, and there's a massive rock monster being throttled by hair. It breaks free after a bit of struggling and rises into the air, circling the emerging creature. The lights in its eyes have gone from blue to red.
After crawling out of some debris, Walter coughs and sends out a frantic network text. ]

It did look impressive, given he was able to run up the colossus' back like that, well until it turned and forces Emilia to get in close to Walter before he falls...
And if it slams into that building, he most certainly will, by the looks of things.]

If this was some sort of game he'd be down to low health and a completely depleted grip gauge. He lets go and tumbles down with the debris. ]

She certainly wouldn't be, at this very second, diving recklessly into the falling debris to catch him before he goes splat. And that's something she'd rather avoid.]
Hold on!

One -- one minute --
[ Rest. Rest is needed. He's panting and struggling to keep a firm grip on the sword. ]
no subject
...Let's not wait too long. We're not done yet.

[ And he is a man of his word. And a man worried about the mass destruction being caused by a disoriented colossus ramming into buildings. A minute is all he takes, breath slowing down, muscles tensing. He is ready. As he'll ever be. ]
The wing.
no subject
Right. [With powerful flaps of her wings, she charges towards the great beast, aiming for the wing Walter was trying to get to before.]
no subject
Either way, this is making it hard to approach. Each flap sends a mighty gust of air at Emi and Walter. ]

Thi... this should be good enough.
[ He's dizzy and exhausted, but ready to take out this wingtip. ]

Let's finish this.

The bird colossus is apparently especially sensitive to swords in its wing. It rolls, and Walter is left dangling upside-down for a few seconds. He holds on this time, wondering why it's not dead yet. Does this thing have three weak points?? If there was one on the one wing, then...
A flash of light from the sword confirms it; there's one last spot on the opposite wing tip. He gestures wildly at it, just in case she somehow missed that beam. Once the colossus levels out again he sprints across its wings. If Emi can deliver some kind of blow, they'll only need one more stab to take this thing down for good. ]

The beam was indication enough. Resummoning Gungnir, she sends it sailing into the monster's last weak point with a mighty throw.]
That should make things easier!
no subject
If anyone ever asks him, he'll say he did that on purpose.
One he feels secure, he prepares to deliver the last strike, waiting for it to soar above the river again. In the short term, this seems like the best place for it to fall. The city itself is only partially evacuated.
Once he feels like the timing is right, he unleashes the final blow. The colossus' eyes grow dim as it begins to fall from the sky. ]

Better to crash into the Thames than anywhere else, of course. And now that Walter has finished it off, it's falling. The vampire offers her hand to him as soon as she could.]
no subject
Well. The thing that happens whenever his past self defeated a colossus? He can see a mass of black overtaking the final weak point. He knows what this means. ]
Y-you should put me down... now. And get away.
[ Trying to stay quiet. Kind of succeeding. ]
no subject
Once she does, she backs away a little uncertainly.]
