prepare for trouble
Who: TWO large monsters duking it out, Walter trying to stop the one he's responsible for, and OPEN FOR DAMAGE CONTROL/FREAKING OUT
What: A hair monster and a stone bird wrecking a European capital
When: April 3rd
Where: Central London
Warnings: Destruction and chaos
[ He wanted some reflection. Some personal time. And he'd never been to London before. Spontaneity wasn't really Walter's thing, but he went, early in the morning so he could spend the afternoon and the majority of Good Friday in the capital.
If he had known how things would've turned out, he would've stayed at home. He would've never left his house again, because clearly, he cannot go anywhere without ruining absolutely everything.
He's unleashed the creature below London, and a colossus. Here, in the flesh (stone??). It just came out of nowhere, under him even. He didn't even have a chance to cling to its fur before it threw him off. Right at the hair. And evidently, that was considered an offensive move, because the hair went for the confused, thrashing colossus.
It all happened pretty quickly. In the end, London Bridge station is completely upended, the citizens are panicking, and there's a massive rock monster being throttled by hair. It breaks free after a bit of struggling and rises into the air, circling the emerging creature. The lights in its eyes have gone from blue to red.
After crawling out of some debris, Walter coughs and sends out a frantic network text. ]

to Walter
There are voices and running outside, and both are clearly headed towards this room as well. THERE IT WENT, they say, HOW DID A DOG GET INTO THIS PLACE]

But he is awake and (somewhat) aware when Floweregg burrows into his blanket. She's on his non-handcuffed side, and he reaches into the blanket to pet her. And confirm that she is not a hallucination. ]

Did you see a dog come in here?

[ Just that much was difficult. The rest is going to have to be communicated non-verbally. Walter shakes his head, trying his best to look confused. He points with his... not-so-free hand, directing the nurses to the right of his room. Dog? No dog here. But he TOTALLY DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY saw something dart that way!
He's partially banking on their reluctance to approach him. Maybe that'll actually work in their favor. ]

Floweregg waits before their steps can't be heard anymore before poking out her head from under the blanket and peering up at Walter.]
Why did they put you on a hand-leash?
no subject
[ Hand... leash? Gosh, this puppy is adorable. He'd laugh, if he felt well enough to. He's reluctant to look at her, given the whole black sclera situation, but eventually, he's going to have to, so he rips that band-aid off ASAP.
Glowing blue eyes irises. That's also a thing. ]
I'm... scary.
no subject
[That's what black eyes are, right... She'll wriggle up and stand on her hindlegs to sniff at his eyes though because they are weird and a bit scary.]
no subject
[ Explaining... everything is too complicated. And he doesn't want to worry the poor dog. More than anything, he wants some time without any stress or worry. Kind of impossible, but a puppy helps.
His scent is... definitely off. And oddly faint. Walter tries to distract her with some behind the ear scritching. ]

You echoed something very weird.
no subject
But nnhn... no worrying.
[ A... smile? Kind of? It's so hard to manage that. But he wants to reassure her. Even though he's incredibly cold and clammy. ]
no subject
I think you're sick. [Considering that they're in a hospital, it's not exactly something unlikely, either.]
no subject
[ He's losing his credibility, dang it. Because he had so much to begin with. ]
Get better... w-will....
[ There, that's not... exactly a lie. He has no idea what the future will bring, so it doesn't count as a real lie. ]

sadly there isn't really all that much that she can do. Except for stay around a bit and lick his face, even though it tastes gross.]
