[Once connection is established, Cinderella turns up the end of her nose and just opens her mouth to say something. Then her ears swivel, and she turns away to peer outside her stable.

The background noise is clear - there are a couple dozen different human voices all hearable in turn, near half of them children's.

When Cinderella returns to her trough, she leans in close and says one word, in a high, clipped whisper.]

...Cake.

Humans do love - cake. Hm?

[Her whisper intensifies. She simply must know:]

Maybe that cake guy'll see this and bring you some. Hell, I'll even pay for it. [Because yes, he's decided the talking horse really needs to try cake!]

Ooh~! Is that a sort of thing you can make cake with? [But of course - carrots are sweet. Cake is supposed to be sweet. She daydreams on it. Needless to say she's hindered by the ignorance as to what cake without the carrots tastes like.]

You can make cake with just about any sort of ingredient, but sweet stuff tends to be the norm. But you can have nuts, citrus flavors, salty caramel... but for a horse, I think a carrot cake would hit the spot. Maybe with caramel apple slices on top...! [now you've got him going]

Good enough. I'm afraid I'm still a practicing reader -- how differently each of you humans form what are supposedly the exact same letters!

Oh, I dunno, any kind of cake with fruit topping I guess? Not a huge frosting fan.

I~I can't say that I've ever tried frosting, either, but I can approve of fruit.

But the sort of fruit depends on the sort of cake, does it not?

That said, everyone has their own favorite flavors. What may be someone's favorite may be simply intolerable to another. It goes for every food, really.
