There's a certain feeling of glee, seeing Jasmine blush at her being terribly mushy, but she tries not to show it too much. "Count on it. I'll be here, come hell or high water. I said something similar to Lily before, and I hope I never have to make good on it the way I did with her, but... if you need me, call for me, and I'll be there. That's a promise."

To her credit, mentioning that incident doesn't make her immediately grimace, though it still dampens her mood a little bit. A year ago already... that first trip to Vegas felt like such a huge disappointment, but it galvanized Winter to work even harder to keep the people important to her safe. And Jasmine's no exception.

"Maybe... I still don't really know what it was. Maybe it was just me recognizing that I had to figure out some way to... interact with people. I couldn't keep going as a shy little wallflower." Between her friends when she first got her numbers, Winter feels like she pushed herself a lot, but beyond that she still can't figure out what possessed her to reach out as much as she did.
