What: This is the second general post for the fourth wall. This post is for network posts/conversations, logs and every other possible interaction, and visitors can top-level.
When: 3rd and 4th of January
Where: Everywhere inside the five echo boundaries.

Fourth Wall OOC information! As a reminder: Visitors may tag all posts tagged "-fourth wall" that are posted on savetheearth.

Special things happening on the 3rd and 4th:
- 3rd, Lapland: There's a snowmobile race north of Rovaniemi and someone that totally isn't an alien, why would you think so signed up a good number of people that all happen to have numbers. One of them is you, which you learn through receiving your participant data through mail/letter/text/whatever applies. Will you take up the challenge?
- 4th, all locations: Something is off. Numbered will find themselves teleported to random places within the echo boundaries - perhaps you are now in the middle of dark, snowy Lapland, or in the heat of the Australian jungle? In a casino in Las Vegas or a castle in Germany? Or in your friend's shower in Locke?

I don't know! This isn't my bathroom!

[Because that's where he'd been, in the bathroom posing in the mirror in his boxers and then deciding to try this monster thing out, and it's only the fact that he'd been in his boxers when this started that stops him from changing back right this second. There's another attempt to get out of the tub, but the fact that he's got a hand clapped over his eyes in an attempt to be polite is making that ridiculously impossible.]

Damned right it's not! [There's a slight sheen on the water caused by the oils and powders in Julien's feathers.

It's hard to get a warm bath when you've got wings like his. Making a face Julien turns his back and steps out - his back is feathery, and his tail goes down to his ankles - toes splayed wide to keep him from slipping.]

You can look now, but please get out of the tub.

[With his other hand free to help him scramble out the tub, Akira finally makes it out...even if he slips again in the process, lands flat on his back on the floor, and just lies there, silently admitting defeat in all of this.]

Uh...where is this?

[Julien gets a towel around his waist, though since his feathers hold moisture very well if he makes the effort to soak them, the towel rapidly becomes wet.]

This is the Hotel Lilie, in Neuschwanstein. Were you playing with your powers?

[As he says it he realizes how dirty that sounds and has to suppress a smile.]

[And yet the dirtiness of it all goes right over Akira's head, and he just nods a little sheepishly.]

Yeah...in my bathroom...

[That is not helping, Akira.]

[Julien has to bite his lip. He doesn't have teeth, just an internal beak that's shaped about right.]

And that took you out over here. [Julien tries to rearrange his hair, but with it and his wings soaked thoroughly it doesn't make much difference. He grimaces.]

Okay, fine, I can accept this was an accident. But a damned stupid one, you know.

It wasn't even my accident. All I can do is play the harmonica and this...

[And he's not even thinking about all the consequences of the "this" as he changes back into human, which really just means there's a sudden splash of water, and then he's standing there as a human again.

...and he's standing there wearing nothing but boxers and an orange hard hat thanks to the way he'd been goofing around in the bathroom before. It takes a few seconds for him to realize this, at which point he hastily removes the hat and holds it in a way that gives him a little more modesty.]

[Ah, yes. Let's add random seminudity, he thinks, huffing once in the little that's left of his laugh reflex.]

Random powers can come out like that. [and, he has to-] Self-exploration's all well and good but, y'know, obviously this went very wrong.

[And still it goes right over Akira's head. He's so, so very serious about all of this. As serious as it's possible to get while wearing nothing but boxers and covering himself.]

I...guess I should try teleporting back, then.

[And yet he looks kind of blank and has no idea how he would even go about doing that.]

[Julien has to cover his face with a wet wing. Good god.]

...should I ask what you were doing before you showed up here?

...flexing. In the mirror.

[At least he's got enough self-awareness to be embarrassed by that.]

[Finally Julien takes pity and doesn't make it worse.]

Because you discovered you can turn into a brussels sprout cowboy?

[There's a little guilt there.]

And because there's always kind of a little splash when I do it, so keeping it contained to the bathroom seemed like a good idea for practice...
