Who: Jasmine Tsukuyomi, [open to anyone who would visit]
What: Healing
Where: A hospital in Fussen
When: December 20th [backdate]
Jasmine sighed as she waited quietly in her hospital bed. It wasn't that she was bored, it was that she kept thinking about the circumstances that had brought her here.
Two weeks had passed since she'd been seriously injured fighting Raye. A massive sword had been driven through her, the kind of wound that hadn't harmed her in a very long time. The whole thing had left her near death, and she only survived because Lily had managed to warp herself, Jasmine, Winter, and Marina to a hospital in Fussen, along with the quick and efficient medical care she'd recieved. The doctors had brought her back from the brink, but the extraordinary state of her body had led to what was comparatively a rapid recovery. It'd take a bit longer yet, but Jasmine would be back on her feet eventually.
But she felt guilty. She felt guilty for being taken out of the fight so quickly. For being unable to help Raye. For making everyone on the network and her father worry about her so much. For this happening around Christmas of all times, and her anniverary of first meeting Marina, and what Lily and Winter had going on, and-
Hn.
Jasmine sighed, and closed her eyes, focusing on listening to the music playing on her phone. At the very least, it kept her from being alone with her own thoughts. She expected visitors at some point, but for now... it was just her.

Very serious.
Very serious indeed!
I'd recommend balloons.
What about streamers?
Oh, streamers are very key to the healing process, yes.

"You... you're setting up a party in my hospital room?" is all she can manage to say.
no subject
They force themselves to shove down an emotional reaction.]
Not party per se....
More of a celebration of your incredibleness!
Yes! Exactly!
[Totally real doctors.]

You two are really something... but... I don't know if I'm up to a big celebration, you know?

Jasmine would be okay, regardless. She knows that. Lily also remembers when she was injured back during the summer. How down in the dumps she had been, and how much everyone else managed to lift her back up. She's bound and determined to do the same for her sister, so as she pokes her head through the door, she beams at her, smiling.
"Morning, little sister. How are we feeling today?"
no subject
"Hey sis," she said, "Long time no see. How long has it been? This morning, right? My, it seems like forever..."
It was one of Jasmine's usual jokes, but much more weary sounding than normal.
no subject
"You just stay put, alright? Don't make me think I need to have someone posted here 24/7 to babysit you or anything."
no subject
Still, she leaned into Lily's hand a bit, sighing.
"At the very least, though, I know I have limits now, eh?"

The only thing that kept guilt from chewing her up completely inside was how much she knew Jasmine wouldn't want her to feel that way, and it was hard to focus on even then. Her girlfriend had almost died. She was there, unable to help. That was what it came down to.
Marina was probably the last person who needed to knock, but she did anyways.

"Marina!" she exclaimed. "It's good to see you...!"
Just... any reminder that Marina was safe and unharmed and that this hadn't been for naught was so wonderful to her, right now.

She pulled up a chair, turning it around to sit backwards and lean against the back of it. "It's not like I'm gonna leave you alone while I've got a captive audience."
no subject
She sighed now, and looked down. "I realized something you know..."

Soon enough, a familiar figure enters the room. "Good day, Jasmine. How are you?"
no subject
"Hey Emi," she said. "I'm doing okay... surprised to see you here. That's not a bad thing, though."
no subject
This was short notice, so Emi didn't bring much with her...
no subject
Of course, that left her at a loss for words for what else to say. So she fell back on the polite stand bys.
"... It's really kind you."

That allocation of space has run out; she's made her way to her friend's hospital room, and she politely knocks on the door as she arrives, poking her head inside. "Jasmine? May I.. come in? I wanted to visit for a little bit." It's a little bit more subdued than her usual, but she's not really interested in taking no for an answer.
no subject
"Winter...!" she replied happily, before wincing at suddenly sitting up. "A-ah... it's good to see you...!"
no subject
"I'd ask if you're okay, but I think I just got an answer to that," she adds gently. "Have you had a lot of visitors, at least? I wanted to give the others time to come by before I stopped in.
There's a side of her that is... uneasy, at the fact that Jasmine's here at all. That any of her friends is here, in a hospital. After the summer, she'd been reminded forcibly of her friends' mortality, and her own; after the snake attack, it'd hit her even harder. She didn't mind the kind of work her mama did, but this ward... she didn't want to be here. But she'll bear it for her important people.

It had taken some work, but eventually the door to the room opened quietly and a soft voice rang out.
"...Hey, Jasmine. How are you doing?"
no subject
"Hey Rakka," she said. "Oh, you know... I'm holding up!"
no subject
She approached her friend a little more, hands tucked in her jacket pockets. "That's great! I-I remember seeing you get hit by Raye..." She winced at the memory, almost as if she could feel pain herself. "I was really worried that... you know."

Except now she feels kind of stupid holding these things with her back to the wall just outside Jasmine's hospital door. Damnit, maybe she should have done more than just gotten some assortment. Jasmine knows this stuff, so maybe she should put more thought into it? She could go back and actually--
She's stalling. She has to do this.
Swallowing, she tries to swallow those last feelings of panic, makes one last futile effort to come up with some prepared speech after failing over the entire motorcycle ride over, takes one last steadying breath.
And steps away from the wall, into the doorway and reaches out to announce her presence with a light knock.
Yeah, great start. Goddamnit.

When she saw who was standing though, she completely froze. Staring. She hated it, but upon seeing Raye, memories of that horrible day came flooding back, and she winced.
"Raye..." she forced out. "I... I was wondering when you'd show up..."
no subject
Her eyes shift away at Jasmine's reaction to seeing her.
"Yeah, I...." Suddenly the gift in her hands seems even more stupid, and everything she thought she could say on her way over abruptly drifts away. She struggles for a second before forcing her eyes back up to look at her friend. She has to do this. After everything, Jasmine deserves this much. "Uh... is it alright if I come in? I can come back later if you're tired, or...."
Or if that look in her eyes a second ago meant she's not ready to see her yet.
