I participated in the run the other day. It was pretty fun. I've always liked the run, but this was the first year I really had an opportunity to take part.

It was amazing, getting to see it in person.

Hopefully Dad thought so. We used to only watch it at home. I suppose he thought he should make a public appearance since he didn't have to stay with me.

I always liked this time of year. It was one of the few times he'd slow down and be around a while. It was nice, except for last year. It was pretty bad last year. Some problems came up, but then again, those problems are also why I got back my first echo. It's actually kind of funny.

Anniversary of my birth today. In a few weeks, anniversary of my first echo. Beginning of my two lives right next to each other.

Why was this the first year you could see it in person?

It went very well as far as I could tell.

Hm, thank you. I figure at this point, it doesn't matter if I share my name. It's not like any stranger is gonna recognize my face now.

Its been a bit of a trade off like that. On one hand, anyone who knows me would know I'm Numbered because of that, but on the other, perfectly healthy.

[Robyn hadn't had a whole lot of notice that Danielle's birthday was coming up, honestly it could be hard to get information out of her sometimes. Luckily she found out with enough time to save up and borrow a bit of money from her dad to get something together. Robyn wanted to do something special for her friend considering all she had to give up after her appearance changed, she figured doing something as fancy and high class as she could was probably her best bet. ...At the same time Robyn wasn't exactly made of money so improvising would have to be done.

Improvising had brought them to the entrance of a restaurant that probably looked more classy than it actually was, but it was the thought that counted, right? Robyn smiled sheepishly as they waited to be seated, she was little nervous that Danielle might not like the idea.]

[Danielle really did have trouble sharing information. It's not necessarily she MEANT to hide her birthday, it's just she never really told anyone before? Besides that, she owed Robyn a lot as is. She didn't want to impose by making a big deal about it.]

[So she was rather surprised when Robyn brought her to a dinner at a fancy restaurant. At least Danielle was pretty sure it was supposed to be, it had that look of trying to be fancy. But really, no one should try to compete with Vlad Masters idea of a fancy restaurant. No salad should cost sixty dollars.]

[Really, Danielle was more floored that Robyn was doing this at all. She was still getting used to actually hanging out with friends, and she knew the Lyre's didn't have THAT much money to spare.]

[She looked at Robyn, and offered a polite smile.] It is rather nice. [Because it was easier to offer politeness when she was trying to sort out her feelings.]
