[Today's video of Danny brought to you with a wide grin on Cure Phantom's face and a backdrop of eyesearing bright green. It could be mistaken for a glowing green screen, if not for the fact that the color is subtly shifting in the background, and are those...floating boulders?]

Guys--guys, I figured it out! All those weird little portals that have been showing up in Locke lately? They're ghost portals! There's--this is some place called the Ghost Zone, it's like a whole other dimension where all ghosts come from!

This is--[Danny looks up and his eyes widen.] Oh--whoa, whoa!

[The video starts shaking and it's not clear what's going on, beyond the fact that the green in the background becomes a clear sky blue. Once the video stabilizes, though, it becomes clear that Danny's back in the human world. As he swings the phone around to show the sights before him, a small mountain range comes into view.]

...wow, okay, uh. I guess I'm in Vegas now.

I don't think anyone likes being hated. Regardless of who they might happen to be.

This whole "anti-numbered" frenzy thing takes it to a whole new level, though.

It does. They're working with skewed data, of all the things! Worse, they won't even listen when we try to say otherwise.

Of course they don't! Why would they listen to the people they're trying to declare guilty?

[sigh]

They--the papers and everyone, I guess--have started to really like normal, human me, and I could try to speak out and say we're not all that bad, but then people might start to suspect me.

Why indeed? But it would certainly help if someone would listen.

[Not that he suspects that very many people will, which leaves the point largely moot.]

As to speaking out, you could. But it might only draw the same ire as before.

Yeah, I know. I just wish I could do something to actually turn this around somehow.

The greatest source of trouble has been the mafia, yes? I know we aren't likely to be able to remove them entirely but if there could be a... change in leadership, perhaps? Or if we could figure out who they've been working with we could move in there.

How do we do that though?

Carefully. Beyond that, I wouldn't be able to say. But it would take a not inconsiderable amount of work, of that I'm reasonably certain.

How, exactly, one might seek to overthrow the leader of a criminal organization isn't something I've thought of much. I'm simply aware that it should logically be possible.

I guess so.

Heh, it's too bad there isn't, like, a college class on taking down entire criminal networks, huh?

You'd have to convince the school board it was worth it. Which might easily be a monumental task in itself. But it is a shame, perhaps - it would certainly be useful to us at the moment.
