I don't know about you guys, but it's been about a month since school let out, and I haven't played in weeks.

So. Some network-only basketball. [He lifts the ball from under his arm and starts spinning it on one finger, like everyone can always do in the movies but no one can ever figure out how to do in real life. Show off.]

And hey, if we find a private enough court, we can even make it more exciting and play with superpowers! [On cue, the hand that's spinning the basketball morphs into one of these, the ball still spinning perfectly on an enormous metal finger.]

Hah. I dunno if I want to play if it's powers. I was on the basketball team for about six months in middle school. I've played since then, but I don't have any interesting physical powers! Just the ability to read all the knowledge of my old world.

Maybe we can play two games?

[He tosses the ball up just a bit and turns his arm back to normal. The ball descends and lands neatly in his normal, human hands a moment later.]

Alright, we can play without any crazy powers. What position did you play on the team?

I was small forward, but I wasn't that great to be honest. I mean, we were middle schoolers. I think they just stuck me in that position cause I was good at fouls. I can almost always get the foul in.

[He stretches out his arms, thoughtfully.]

Went through a little bit of a growth spurt since then, so I'll probably have to adjust it and practice a bit. But yeah! I think so. What, we gonna start an intramural numbers-only basketball team?

If we set one up in Vegas too, we can have a tournament someday!

Haha, that would be awesome! If we can scrape up enough people for a team down there, I'd totally try to get some money together to rent up a van or something to get us down there. Might have to wait til spring break next year, though.
