[sleep? what was this sleep people talk about. Shou doesn't do sleep at night, especially with the weird way his skin reacts to the daylight now. maybe he was going to turn into a vampire, not that he is going to let it drag him down tonight of all nights.]

You know what's pretty weird about being here? The time difference. People keep on calling me a day ahead of time and it always gets me thinking about silly stuff, like what if I ran into future me and what would they say to me. Would they tell me to not date that girl? Would they explain to me about going bald?

My mind can be a crazy place but I guess what I'm trying to say all day yesterday people were calling me to wish me a happy birthday because they were already living on the Fourth. Here, I was still on the Third, waiting for that day and now that it's here [it's only been about two hours tbh, not that he cares.] I don't feel different.

Usually I have a huge party but I didn't plan anything this time around. Stuff came up and I forgot, but I could throw something together. Would anyone wanna do something big? I could always rent out an amusement park or something.

Fairly well. I've made some friends on the Network and we go on adventures, it's almost like I'm a normal kid. [Breaking into secure facilities, but whatever.]

Is there anything you'd like for your Birthday?

I usually get everything and then some. Last year, my friend in Japan sent me a book on how to age gracefully and a... [well, he won't mention the dirty stuff he got except in as vague of terms as possible.] stupid comic book.

But if you want, you can surprise me. I like surprises that don't involve jumping out of closets yelling boo.

I said closets. I don't mind jumping outta my car or tossing a water balloon at me. [he laughs, because this is so much better than worrying about other things.]

Not really that much. Passes to a ski resort would cost more since there are the travel expenses too.

A ski resort in the summer? Yeah, that would be a little out there.

Call your friends back when it's still April 1st your time, and no longer April 1st theirs.

It would be now, but if it's the third where you are today, and the fourth where they are, then the time arrangement should work the same.

If you don't want to wait that long, though, you could probably use another day. You could also make your own occasion where you warn them that something will happen on one day, and it happens the next.

That second option would have to be done a lot more carefully to be done well, unfortunately.

Done. Sorry I can't think of anything better, but I haven't done this birthday thing since I was little.

What can I say? I like strong, interesting women. Unfortunately, they're also likely to try to kill me or write graphic descriptions of my sexual habits or something.

It's okay. I like the little surprises better than the big ones.

Is interesting your code for 'crazy', because I've met plenty of interesting people that probably wouldn't do that. I say probably because I don't exactly have a long track record of that sort of knowledge, so I could be completely wrong.

Don't. Like I said, I can buy my own big presents. I like smaller ones that have some thought to them.
