We worry about what the child will become tommorow

What: Little children sticking their noses where they don't belong

When: June 23, while the barrier is down.


Tomorrow would be the final day of inspections; if they don't do this now, there's not much time for another chance. They've spent days planning this, worked out strategies, divided themselves into teams. They've thought this through, surely.

Between Danielle's invisibility power and Toushirou's speed, they get across the where the barrier had been and past initial security without a hitch. The sensation of an Echo should hit each one of them as they cross it, however. What they bring may or may not be relevant to what they're doing.

They split once they're past security, a private Network connection set up between Toushirou and Danielle to keep the groups in touch without alerting the Network as a whole to their operation. Any of them can speak and hear over it.

The idea is simple enough. Explore as much as they can without being seen, maybe get some evidence of anything shady Thundercorp is doing this time, and get out. Ideally, there'll be no need to fight anything.

But they're ready for that if necessary, too.

Phillip is probably the least well equipped to do anything sneaky, since his Shadows don't listen to him, his other form is really big, and also he's not the most observant of the kids in general. Still, he at least knows to be quiet when sneaking around the building. And also recognizes that Danielle's probably in charge so he should listen to her.

Still, not even that can stop him from being curious, so once they're in and he's seen something interesting he goes over to look at it. It's nothing secret or special or anything, probably, but... he knows better than to touch it.

If Phillip was the least equipped person to do anything sneaky, he wasn't the only one. While Katie managed to wear a lot of dark clothing, that was the most she had. Compared to the rest of the group, she was probably the only one who didn't have any abilities to back her up. Keeping as quiet as she could, she was waiting to see what they could do.

Of course, that was when Phillip wandered somewhere else.

"Hey, what are you doing? Don't go over there" She whispered over to him hoping that he would come back.

Danielle was, surprisingly, very good at sneaking. Such was the way of her needing to get out of her own house and back in again undetected. Not to mention when she was feeling stir crazy in the hospital in the middle of the night. The invisibility helped, but with the limit, she knew it'd be better to just try straight up sneaking as much as possible.

(Though she was also secretly gleeful in having an excuse to wear the black pants and hoody. It wasn't often she risked the less...fancy clothes outside.)

She kept the ear piece in for the Network chatter and made sure the others had cameras. Whatever they saw wouldn't mean much if they didn't have evidence, after all. Still, it was...different having to monitor others so directly. So she was feeling a bit tense when Phillip just wandered off.

"Keep close. Nothing really important will be outside, too many ways to zoom in. Come on, the door's this way." They did need to get inside, after all.

"Ok, ok." Instead, Phillip will just take a picture of... whatever it was (making sure to not have flash- he remembered!) before falling in line behind the girls. "So if we're not looking for stuff out here, then what are we looking for?" Because if he knows, then he can take pictures of it. And then they don't have to figure out what it is right then and can look at it later!

Out of all the children here, Katie knew Phillip the longest. Despite that, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at taking a picture of whatever that thing was. Whatever made him happy, she guessed.

However, he did bring up a good point. "I agree, what are we looking for Danielle?"

"Anything that looks like they're trying to hide. It won't be obvious, just out of the way enough to not be noticed in inspections or behind a locked door. Files, pictures of those would be good. Anywhere that security's hanging about, discourages people from lingering," Danielle said. Though files were probably the best place to strike gold, she figured. That's why the cameras were important, anything up with those wouldn't be immediately obvious, and not something inspection would look anyway.

"Right! Ok!" Phillip gives the other two girls a thumbs up before before looking around very carefully now. This is actually a useful thing, since it keeps him quiet and reasonably sneaky, and he'll be on the lookout for anything suspicious. It's a good way to keep him occupied and being relatively useful.

The brunette simply sighed before investing around the area. She will can't believe that she agreed to joining this team but it was too late to back up now. Thus far, she couldn't see anything that was worth looking over. Between the strange objects and whatever was lurking around, nothing stood out. Of course, that was when she accidentally bumped into something.

"Ah..." Luckily it didn't fall over but it did make an interesting sound though. "What was that?"

Danielle herself was splitting her attention. Trying to listen for anyone approaching. She had to be quick, she was the only real protection they had without turning violent, after all. (It didn't help that things felt Off since the echo of entering the compound.) She was looking around, taking a picture of anything she couldn't figure out an immediate use of in case it was an 'in plain sight' deal, but she didn't keep still long.

Then Katie spoke. "What?" She asked, looking over to the other girl to see what got her attention.

Phillip will go ahead and take a picture of whatever it was Katie bumped into before moving over at her to look at it. "I don't know," he said, squinting at it, "Was it that thing that made the noise? It sounded weird... I hope nobody else heard it."

"I hope not, we're already in danger as it is!" She whispered before making a light knock against the item she hit. So far, the object appeared to be hollow but it was clear that there was something inside of it. With another light knock, she just stared back at her two teammates with a knowing look.

"You think this is what we're looking for?" For the first time in a while, Katie smiled.

Team 2 - Toushirou, Dani, Henry

Dani was fairly quiet, as she had wrapped her wings up to keep them from making noise. That had been her only worry when it came to this whole mission at the beginning. But now that they were in, she was now looking around at EVERYTHING, but sticking close.

They didn't have much to worry about...for now at least from the 9 year old. "What now?"

True to what he'd said in the planning stages, Toushirou had come without his weapon. Too big to worry about when finding hiding spots, too difficult to explain away if they get caught. If there was trouble, he had to rely on his other powers -- and his teammates.

Dani was one of the kids that he wasn't all that familiar with. He'd first met her when Henry had first called everyone together and suggested the group. But she was being quiet enough and smart enough, so that much was working out. She wasn't a pain, at least. He could deal with that just fine.

"Just look for anything that might seem out of place, or any areas the employees might be paying a weird amount of attention to."

Henry had been all for the idea of breaking into this place, but, having actually now gotten into the place had been easier than expected. They had a large advantage with a bunch of their powers but now that they were in what was there to do?

Keep an eye out on the guards of course, but that wouldn't do for long. "We're going to probably need a key or something if we run into any doors." Because of course he would potentially be able to replicate anything they needed...but it'd be a good idea to see what was needed first.

Her curiosity and tenancies could be pushed aside for the moment. Dani could see how serious things were so any annoyances would be accidental on her part. She kept glancing about a bit nervously as she would spot something for a second. She'd shake her head to try and push ti aside and looked back, clutching her camera close.

"But where should we look first? This is a really, really big place. Keys could be anywhere."

He's careful to listen for any footsteps that sound like they could be coming in their direction. None so far, but he's staying alert.

"... If they're keeping keys on them, this could get tricky."

He's more than fast enough to pull it off, but there's probably a certain skill to pickpocketing or whatever, and he's not sure he has that. He's never had reason to try. And really, he's not completely sure where they'd look for keys, either. Offices? Janitor's closets? Something like that, right?

"I just need a picture or something. Not the actual key. Here."

And he pulls out a camera phone from his pocket (having magick'd it up much earlier)and holding it out to Toushirou. "You can get close enough at least to see someone using one, right? Just get a picture."

Dani could only stand there, shifting a bit. She was nervous and not having anything to do didn't help. But she was quiet and keeping a eye out, peeking around just to make sure before a thought struck her.

"What if it's the wrong key though?"

He takes the camera phone, and shrugs. "No way to know if it is or isn't before we try it. Doesn't work, we try another or find some other way to get through."

Preferably without blowing something up. He can do that now, but he doesn't want to on a recon mission. The whole point is to slip in and out without attracting any notice.

An echoing sound of footsteps behind them, coming closer, not long before reaching them. Nice timing. "Hide."

In the next instant, he's ducked under a small table. The others should be able to manage something, and if they're lucky, whoever's approaching will have a key he can get a quick picture of for Henry.

The footsteps make him jump only just slightly. While this was an opprotunity to get a key it would not be a good thing if they were caught so soon. Henry following Toushirou's lead took quickly to a hiding spot (finding some barrels near by to duck behind.

The footsteps were of course from a guard. Approaching a locked door nearby and pulling out one of his card keys.

Jumping happened and Dani looked around quickly before diving behind some boxes to hide. It was probably her best bet of hiding due to her wings.

She didn't dare move until someone told her to come out or that it was safe. Not going to be jeopardizing the mission while they had a chance!

There's something so different to this than there is to a straight-up fight. He actually feels more comfortable in those. It doesn't help, maybe, that he didn't bring his sword for reasons of stealth and he's a bit more vulnerable without it.

Not helpless, but he always feels better with it in these situations.

He blinks when he sees the guard go for his card key, then raises the camera into a position he hopes is still concealed enough and can get a decent shot of it. The guard perks a little at the soft noise the camera makes, and Toushirou tenses, ready to move if the man thinks to look below.

He can be gone and around a previous corner so fast that even if the guard sees him, he'd think he'd imagined it. But he'd rather not move at all.
