[Marine life is very important indeed. Not only did life come from the sea, chances are it would be unsustainable without it. Science, philosophy and art have frequently sought inspiration in its restless waves and diverse creatures, And those creatures have, over and over, awed humankind with their secrets and beauty. From the ageless tales of sea monsters to studies on the longevity of lobsters, one cannot help but marvel at their mysteries.
Still, their corpses stink something fierce.
Two weeks after the shellfish incident, Lake Bellagio has been properly cleaned and sanitized, but even the most conscious professionals have missed a crab here and there, and boy do they smell under the scorching sun. But fear not, Las Vegans, for intrepid volunteers are walking around the affected areas armed with gloves, mops, brooms and garbage bags. A pale and lean man, in particular, seems quite committed to getting rid of every single rotten crustacean he can find. And yes, that includes that one dead lobster just behind you, or even the squishy little shrimp under your shoe. He is not wearing his uniform today, but you might recognize him as Cecil Keller, mail carrier and regular Numbered weirdo. ]
((OOC: Please, feel free to hijack this post for all your Las Vegas action needs. Both prose and brackets are fine.
Characters who have a paranormal or even intuitive sense for these things may notice that Cecil now feels slightly divine and holy, since he echoed part of that back. ))
