So...if I told the FBI I didn't want anything to do with the robot I got back anymore, what do you guys think would happen?

It is that simple. If you do not want to do it, then do not do it. Your feelings matter more than anything else--no one can or should try to force you.

I think having giant robots they can use is probably more important to the government than my feelings.

[Although they never made it sound like they'd force anyone into anything...it's scary to him, that he's got this huge government agency interested in him. He certainly doesn't trust them.]

Ours seemed kind of the same though, didn't they? The cockpit was the same, and they're about the same size...

Maybe they would be okay with someone else being able to use your robot. Even if you're not around, they could still make use of it, that way.

It's worth a shot, don't you think? Maybe it'll be difficult, but I'm sure it's possible.

Ours probably have different specs, so I'm sure there will be situations that are better for one or the other. I can just pilot whichever one the FBI thinks best fits the situation. And if something happens to one of them, the other one can be used as a spare.

They might go for it. You're in no condition to pilot, anyway.

Whatever decision you make is yours to make. If there are things to worry about after, then you should worry about them after. But is it better to worry about something unknown that might not happen, or to worry about the problem you are facing now?

It isn't very easy. But you will not be alone.
