Hey guys. So, school's gonna be out for almost everyone pretty soon, and I figure now's as good a time as any to try to get the people who are still in school together to see what's up. Anybody want to organize a trip to Vegas?

I mean, grown-ups have work, but students like us have a lot of time to put our heads together and figure out good plans to counteract crazy stuff that might be happening. Like, getting together and having a strategy, making teams or groups of buddies... So we're not stepping all over each other or whatever... Elect somebody to talk to the government for us, maybe. Or like a secret email address or something, I dunno.

We gotta get a little more organized, I think.

[He runs his fingers through his hair, looking kind of nervous.]

We gotta get more or less on the same page, figure out what's going on, cos just because we haven't had any other big attacks lately doesn't mean we won't have one.

[Lucas hasn't heard about the car rampaging around town quite yet.]

... Okay. I can't offer to go to Vegas with you because I already live here, but I'm pretty sure that the government isn't going to take us seriously as a group if we elect a teenager to talk to them for us.

Well, I mean. It doesn't have to be a teen. There are college students, too. I just figured that we should probably figure something out.

[He looks kind of cagey, really. He doesn't want to talk about the kind of stuff his dad's been saying about what other politicians are talking about in regards to the numbered... He really just doesn't want to have to deal with it at all.]

... Somehow I don't think a college student's really going to be much better. [ Sure, it was better than a high-schooler, but most adults still saw them as immature children. At least going from how her dad talked about college students, anyway. ]

I mean, we do need to figure something out, but I don't know if someone who's not already an adult with a job will be taken seriously.

Well, all right, an adult with a job then. But we need somebody. We can't just expect things are gonna work out without anybody to represent us...

What about that Dr. Solus guy? He seemed like-

[ She pauses, frowns, and then shakes her head. ]

Actually, no, as a representative from what I've seen of him so far he's probably not a good idea. Even if he does seem to be the one most likely to know more about the strange stuff we keep finding out.

[screw the rest of that discussion, he saw the word Vegas and now Jovan has the perfect summer break idea.]

a trip to Vegas?

Uh, yeah, like to meet up with other numbered people and stuff. I got this thing that can transport me right there, but I haven't really tried it yet. Also, I think it can only take me.

[He shrugs.]

Still, if we could get a group together, there's lots of fun stuff to do out there and also it'd be good for the network to get some face time with the vegas guys. I think it'd be easier to blend in there, what with there not being as many of us.

Aw, c'mon man, how were you gonna get there before I mentioned it? We could meet up there! I'm not getting in a car with a bunch of strangers, no matter what kind of weird-ass past recollections we have in common.

I'm not a student, but the idea of a liaison isn't a bad one. Possibly two or three, in the case that one loses their echoes. Do you have anybody in mind?
