Who: Iskender and Lamont
When: Beginning of May. Sometime. Yes.
Where: Downtown hotel -> Iskender'smanor house.
What: Moving in hobos cousins.
Saying the hotel was nice would be a bit of an understatement. Extravagant might be a bit more precise. It wasn't any more than what Iskender had expected, though. Of course his cousin wouldn't be staying with mere mortals.
Okay, that was rude. Not like Lamont at all, either. Good thing he hadn't actually voiced it.
He's a little earlier than he expected, though, there having been less traffic than usual. He'd get a drink, but it wasn't even noon yet, and who drinks before noon? Besides, ten o'clock means nine fifty-five, so he shouldn't be waiting much longer.

"Cousin! It has been a while." Good manners prevented him from running up and giving a hug... but he was terribly glad to see him, all the same.
"You've gotten a bit shorter than in my memory." Well, Iskender was taller, really. But so was Lamont. So the overall effect was no longer as impressive as he recalled as a small child.

"Forward, I see. Well." He surveys Lamont; it has been a while, after all. "Are you ready?"
no subject
"The steward is bringing down my other bag. But yes, I'm ready. Is your driver waiting?"
no subject
But still.
"No, I drove myself. Not in a rush unless you are." Can't imagine why he would be.

A nod. "I am in a rush, in fact. To try tacos. I've heard there's a 'Drive Through Window', and I have been eager to try it for days now."
no subject
"There are, in fact, places with drive-through windows and tacos, but unless you wish to lose a battle with your digestive system there are other places to go." He spun his keys on finger, thinking. "Do you really want Mexican?"
no subject
"I really do. Unless, of course, you're too afraid. Then we may forgo it and skip right to french fries and hamburgers, my now very American cousin."
no subject
"It will have to be the coward's way, I'm afraid, if the choice is mine. You'll thank me."

And he's going to take one off Lamont's hands. He heaves it onto his shoulder, swearing to himself that it must have been some kind of magic that helped him do so. "You're welcome. How hungry are you?"

"Good. Driving around with a fresh corpse would raise far too many questions."
no subject
"You sound as if you speak from experience. Would I be unwise to visit the basement of your home?" Questioned, before getting in on the passenger's side.

He waves nonchalantly at the dashboard. "I have exactly 3044 songs, and all of them are shit. Choose what you want, as long as it isn't the radio."
no subject
"Why would you make a massive playlist of songs you don't enjoy? To torment yourself? Okay, so you're a murderer and a masochist... I feel I'm learning so much about you already, my dear cousin, I should have come sooner."
no subject
He laughs. "Oh, we've barely scratched the surface. I have many layers, though I may not present them to you in order."
no subject
"Rather like a croissant." Can you tell he really, really wants breakfast? "But less wonderful."
