ten sick, disgusting thoughts | mixed media
[the image below appears on its own as a separate post on the network, shortly before the explanatory text post. it's a page from what looks like a composition book.]

Hey, numbers club. It's me, Brooke, again. I've been taking some notes lately—that's the page I sent here a few minutes ago. I couldn't figure out how to get them out of my notebook and make a post at the same time, so sorry for spamming the place. This is getting kind of long, so I'm going to cut it.
Anyway, there's some... I guess inconsistencies that I'm worried about. Right after we saw the light in the sky here in Locke, a bunch of weird things started happening. (Understatement of the year.) These little creatures started showing up called vermini. And then bigger ones. And then a huge one, a vermaxi, crashed Rachel's Halloween party and put a lot of people in danger. I haven't heard about anything like that happening in Vegas, so that makes me think they're Thunder's creation. But keep an eye out anyway, okay?
Because there's always the chance that they weren't created by Thunder and they were... beamed here or something by the light in the sky. Or that they cause the light in the sky as, like, some kind of beacon for something bigger. I don't know. I just think there might be something going on that those aliens that visited don't know about. Maybe they have another rogue agent on their hands?
Oh, right, and the brain thing. Thunder had this brain in a jar or something kept hidden away that we found on an expedition. I didn't take any notes on that but I could probably find them if I went back far enough. Anyway, I want to say that whatever it was probably got destroyed in the snake's rampage, but I've seen too many zombie movies to believe something's dead without seeing a body. Metaphorically.
I'm mostly just thinking out loud with this post, but I guess if anybody has any more information or wants to shoot my theories down or whatever, feel free. Just no flame wars. ;)

Either way I appreciate the info. I wonder if Thundercorp has any facilities in Vegas...Maybe trouble only pops up around them? Or vice versa? Either way...

Maybe some Vegas natives can start looking around. The media knows about a bunch of Locke's people, but numbers club members in Vegas are probably still under the radar.

[Tilts his head back and groans a groan fit for a dragon.]
I need to get out of here! Running away to Vegas would be just the ticket...
At least until it starts to grow back...

I think the best way to help right now would be to gather intel before we make any bigger plans.

More of a do-er.
And a failer.

[beat.]
Wow, that is the definition of a backhanded compliment. I'm sorry.

[Rubs his head.]
I'm still getting over a traumatic incident here.

And then a giant hairbrush ate it off of my head.
It was terrifying, to say the least. And painful. And now, shameful.

What was the deal with that? Curiouser and curiouser.

No pun intended, jesus fuck.

You've given me a lot to think about.

...Okay, I'll take it. It's not every day I get people thinking about things. I didn't even get your name, though.

Okay, well, it's since I met the Arch Nemesis and she called you her BFF and partner in crime. So that mystery is solved. She's really had nothing but good things to say about you.
Sorry for assuming you were dating.

Thanks for recognizing me, though! Always great to meet a fan~
