[When the video starts, Alex is looking a little unsure at his phone.]

I think I've got it right...

[At least, it looks like he does, so he quickly straightens himself up to address everyone.]

Hello. I've already met a couple of you, but I guess now is as good a time as any to introduce myself.

I'm Alexander Bogu, a concierge at the Marriott Grand Chateau here in Las Vegas. Its the same hotel that's letting some of us in the "Numbers Club" stay for free, assuming you can prove to the manager that you actually have superpowers. I don't have any powers, unfortunately, so I'm still stuck as an employee.

The offer for the free room still stands, and for anyone else who decided to take us up on it, just ask for Alexander when you arrive. I'll make sure you're taken care of.

[Holy hell, it's another one. And one he recognizes being with him, Tieria, and a younger "Deren." This is practically an epidemic at this point, and Neil practically scrambles to bring up video on his computer. At this point he's not surprised, and it's all he can do to not just blurt out "Gundam Meister" or "Celestial Being" and see what happens.

Also, his apartment looks like a pig lives in it. One does; its name is Neil Dylandy.]

Man, looks like just about everyone wants to come out of the woodwork at this point.

[Because that totally isn't a confusing statement or anything.]

[Its not confusing at all. Save for the fact that it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to Alex. At least, not in the way that Neil means it.]

...have there been that many new members to the "Numbers Club" recently?

[That's what Neil meant, right?]

[No, Al. That's not what he means. That's not what he means at all. He squints and leans in a bit.]

There have, yeah, but just... some particular sorts of members.

[He quirks an eyebrow.] Because I don't know if you remember me, but I sure as hell remember you... or someone who looks an awful lot like you.

[Um.... Alex is not sure how to take that. There's a moment where he wracks his brain, trying to remember, but he comes up empty.]

Well, if you've ever been to Vegas before, we might have met. But I don't recall ever seeing you before.

[ Another one?! Eugen remembers him from his memory, the guy who stood beside Tieria when he was greeting Lockon. In the beginning, it was only Banagher, Neil and himself but since them, five (including Alexander now) of them have turned up here. It unsettles him to think that so many of them are related to one past life.

It's only for the decidedly lack of mention about space and giant robots that holds him back from throwing Gundam or Celestial Being at Alexander. He would wait, at least until it becomes necessary. For now, he will establish contact first. ]

That's nice of you to offer. [ Pause. ] I don't suppose you remember who I was?

[You'd think he'd remember someone with that hair, but its much more common in a place like Vegas that he doesn't even register it as being that unusual.]

No, I don't think we've met before.

[ That's strange. He's almost sure this is the right person so why does he not remember him? And judging from Neil's response, he's sure they didn't both remember the wrong person, so why is Alexander's reaction so different? It doesn't make sense but then again, as Banagher said, none of the things that happened lately did. ]

That's strange, I was sure I knew you... What did you remember since getting the number?

oh hey! i wonder if you're the same concierge i asked about the shipping address a couple weeks ago?

[when he needed a replacement phone mailed to him and had to ask the desk how that needed to be addressed to get to him. but it's equally likely that was some other employee he asked about it.]

my name's russel! i'm the one with the firebird.

[like an actual giant bird of living flame, not the car. to get his free room, he summoned a firebird by playing Stravinsky on piano. pretty memorable, tbh.]

[This is just as confusing for him, as he doesn't recognize either of them. At all.]

Not much; nothing outside of a bunch of numbers being shoved into my head. Are you sure you simply haven't mistaken me for someone else?

[Neil crosses his arms.]

Sorry, this sounds stupid. Believe me, I know. Look, if you're poking around here, you've probably seen how people get... memories of things and people, right?

[He rubs his chin.] Someone who looks exactly like you was in one of mine. I'm... pretty sure of it, but...

[He frowns.] You were there with two other people on here named [Pause.] Tieria and Deren, although at least Tieria had a different name then. Nothing about that's ringing a bell, at all?

[Certainly, sometimes you run into people who look similar if not precisely the same as others in the world. It happened, but... he's sure of it. This guy looked exactly like the green haired man in that memory.]

[Given how he's already run into a few people who claim to know him.]

[Because a flaming bird happening with music is definitely not something he'd forget so soon.]

It was someone else you spoke to about that, but let me know if there's anything else you need.

[He lets out a heavy sigh, and shakes his head.]

No, I don't know anyone by the name of Tieria or Deren, and I've never seen you before.

Maybe you've just mistaken me for someone else?

Can I ask why powers are necessary? Is the manager particularly interested in the overtly extraordinary abilities of some numbered people?

Its mostly just for verification. Even if I can see this network, she can't, and I just as easily say that anyone is a member. This way, at least, she has some kind of concrete proof that no one can dispute.

And the fact that public displays of power can make for good publicity stunts doesn't hurt matters either.

Don't you see an inherent problem with one group being favored over another, within a common group?

yeah! it was stravinsky idk if you remember. [russel not everyone is going to know what song you played to do that, much less the composer of said song.]

i can't think of anything at the moment but if i see you around i'll definitely stop to say hi!

[ Right. This is winding down the awkward path way sooner than expected. So much for trying not to alarm this person. The fact that looking at Eugen doesn't gives Alexander any echo is pretty telling because he looks exactly like Tieria. ]

I'm pretty sure I'm not mistaking you for anyone. But if you don't remember me, then I'm not going to push it until you do.

[ Moving on since there's really no point in harping over this issue if Alexander doesn't remember. ] You know, if your boss keeps this offer up, pretty soon he's going to run into deficit if more and more people take up his offer.

That's... a scary thought, actually.

[Whether he means magically remembering a guy he doesn't know at all (and he is 100% certain that he does not know this person), or having to deal with a hotel full of superhumans, remains unclear. Both thoughts are kind of unsettling, in a way.]

[Neil waves a hand absently for a moment.

Yeah, that was possible. But he looked so close to the guy in his memory. To the same one others recognized. Sure, sometimes people in the world just so happened to look like others, but...]

Well. Damn.

[He doesn't have much of an argument if this guy's just drawing up a total blank. He shakes his head.]

Sorry, man - there's just been a buncha folks lately, and you look exactly like someone in one of these stupid memories...

[He cocks an eyebrow.] So what did you get with your Numbers, then?

Um... [He thinks about that for a moment, but outside of a set of numbers, he honestly can't think of anything new.] ...nothing???

Not unless more frequent migraines count.

Was I supposed to get something? I'm still kind of new to this, I'm not sure how it all works, to be honest.

[Especially if this guy supposedly remembers him, despite the fact that they've never met.]

I suppose it is. [ On both count since the unknown and getting bankrupt are not exactly the nicest things to look forward to. ]

But you'll be fine. It's not too bad once you get used to it.

[ And here he thought he'll never ask. ] Tieria Erde. Ring any bells?

No... I'm sorry but-- [He brings his left hand up to rub at the left side of his face, the only sign that this is starting to weigh on him a little bit. But as he does, he looks directly at Tieria, and for a moment, a wicked grins forms on his lips, his expression almost as if to say I know you.--]

[But just like that, its gone. He runs his hand through his hair, his expression shifting back to what it was mere seconds ago, and he continues speaking as if he hadn't stopped in the middle of that sentence.]

--I don't remember you at all.
