I have what is perhaps an odd question. Who of our dark cabal has had what appeared to be a clear idea of their other self's life, only to find an Echo that turns that impression to dust?

As well, to the pilots of those large machines. Have you ever seen one that was... smaller? Perhaps not in the shape of a human, but only encasing a human pilot partially. I know not how we were not instantly killed, exposed as we were.

[ Alexi is still trying to sort out how serious she is or whether she's just one of those weird kids that slather on dark makeup and dark clothes and pretend they're not interested in the world around them. Still, she seems too cheerful to be exactly like those types. Maybe it's just a quirk? ]

what was your robot like?

Not quite a robot. It was a small flying machine that was more like... some manner of console that surrounded me and kept me afloat.

like a robotic bubble.

Not really, but that would look cool.

so it's kind of like a floating seat thing. i can see what you mean about being exposed. it doesn't really protect your head or anything.

It did, and it had weapons, I believe.

yeah it would need those to fight. i guess if it could fly around, it could evade too much damage.

Perhaps at some point, I will recall more. As it is, it is only a mystery.

I was part of a unit, but none here have yet shared my memories.

hey how did you get this one back. the robot echo i mean. i was talking with someone about how they work earlier. did you see something like this

No, only when I saw the aliens on the news. However, often, echoes do come upon the sight of new things. I learned to use a whip, for example, when practising weapons with Britany.

she uses whips too

[ Is not entirely sure how one uses a whip as a weapon, honestly. Well, aside from the Durango Jo movies, but that guy mostly used to whips to lasso people.

Part of him wants to ask more about this Britany. Maybe if he practiced with her, he could remember some special ability too. But what if fighting like that triggered his other reactions? Could he really risk that when he's just joining these guys? ]
