[closed] Pancakes and friendships on a new day
Who: Isaac, Miria, Jacuzzi, and Rakka
What: Meetings, living arrangements, and plans
When:Backdated to April 5th.
Where: The Dians residence/Above Something Old Antiques
Warnings: Potential shenanigans
Transporting Rakka from the hospital to home had been stressful for everyone. The Dians' fear for their friend's safety was bad enough. Jacuzzi fear for the safety (and continued friendship) of the Dians and their new roommate was also bad. Rakka's fears of... well, she had wings growing out of her back and a family that disliked all this superhero nonsense. She had quite a few fears to deal with.
As a result, there were plenty of things to deal with and plenty of things to exhaust the quartet. But, after a long night's rest, the weekend finally arrived. So, now they should have the time to work out what they can. Assuming Rakka and Jacuzzi could make up for the lack of competence on the Dians' side.
Speaking of, the couple had gotten up from the couch and was currently preparing breakfast. Clad in pajamas, they decided to make some delicious pancakes. The smell was already beginning to waft from the kitchen into the bedrooms of their two teenaged compatriots. The couple was feeling pretty good about the future, all in all. With this many friends staying over, what could possibly go wrong?

>>Jacuzzi + Competence
>>What could possibly go wrong?
Ignoring those piees of flawed logic. Jacuzzi has actually gotten pretty comfortable around the couple and that is saying something. So when he comes out he's not freaked out that he is also indeed in pajamas and he is just rubbing his eyes. See, when you panic a lot, you never really get good rest. So Jacuzzi blinks at them for a couple of seconds stupidly. He rubs his hair. And then the glorious first panic of the morning sets in--he should help them, right? He shouldn't leave them to cook alone, after all, he has to pull his weight somehow and, sorry guys, this is probably how every morning begins with him.
"Do you guys need any help?" At least he's learned to tone down the panic.

"Good morning Jacuzzi!"
"Did you get a good night's sleep, pal?"
New plan, pretending they didn't hear the panic will make him panic less! Genius. But rude. Wow, both Isaac and Miria are already feeling the guilt over that one. Trying to push through though as they hope against hope he doesn't worry about that.

"Yeah I--Are you guys okay? Yesterday was... really busy."
no subject
"Yeah, we're alright."
"What about you? We didn't mean to put you through that stress...
no subject
"Is she gonna be okay, though?"
no subject
There's a pause and a moment of careful consideration.
"Well, the doctor said that the wings just appeared to grow out of her back... and apparently it was pretty gruesome."
"She should be fine in the long run, but she just needs some time to recover."
no subject
"Not that I really know anything that could help, I'd just be making guesses and I'd probably make it worse."
no subject
"Nonsense! I'm sure you can do lots of things!"
"And besides, it's the thought that counts!"

/slides in if that's okay
All the events of the previous day had felt like a dream as Rakka found herself waking up in a bed that wasn't her own. Whatever energy she had was surprisingly enough to get her out of bed and down into the kitchen. She moved quietly though, it's likely no one noticed anything until they see her in the doorway rubbing her eyes.
She still looks rather haggard, her skin pale and hair a mess. The over-sized shirt she was given to wear hung loosely on her body. Her wings stretched out from two holes cut in the back of the shirt, a rather easy fix to that whole problem. Every so often her wings fluttered, a few feathers coming free and floating down to her feet. She yawned, her halo bobbing up and down.
"Uh... morning, guys."
Always okay.
"Morning, Rakka!"
"I hope you got a good night's sleep in there."
"The bed was comfy, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, it was like sleeping on a cloud. A lot bigger than my bed too."
Her eyes went from breakfast, to the Dians, to Jaccuzzi. "Did... did I interrupt something?"
no subject
"Oh no, just preparing breakfast is all!"
"Sit down you two! It'll be ready in a minute!"
no subject
Slowly, she found a chair at the kitchen table and sat down. Her fingers drummed a tuneless melody for a minute.
"...Listen, about yesterday..."
no subject
"What about it?"
no subject
It was kind of bad, their plan. If she'd thought it out a little more maybe this wouldn't have happened.
no subject
"If you think it will work, you should go for it!"
"And all the other people that saw you should be fine..."
Miria's voice can't help but trail off warily there though.
no subject
Rakka catches Miria's wariness. Of course they should be wary of the whole thing, Rakka was too. She sighs and rests her head on the table.
"I'm sorry I got you guys into this. I swear I'll get out of your hair as soon as I can."
And risk having whatever happened to that Karson fellow happen to her. But she didn't want the Dians to get in trouble too.
no subject
"No, we don't mind at all!"
"Stay as long as you please!"
"We're happy to have you!"
