Video - Late Friday Night
[The video flickers on to a close shot of a dark-haired woman's face. It's possibly you might have seen her face before, on the ad at the bus stop, or model that new dress in a magazine. She usually appears to exude pure confidence in her photographs, but right now, she doesn't look confident in the least.
If anything, she appears to be a bit apprehensive.]
I don't know if this is the right place for this. [She runs a hand through her long, black hair.] I'm not even sure if all this is real.
[Her thoughts flicker to the newly-formed scar on her chest. She shakes her head, as if to dismiss the thought entirely.] What am I saying? It had to be real!
[She forces her lips to curl up into a small, tight-lipped smile.]
I'm Misato Katsuragi. I don't remember any of my past life, but I'm hoping that someone out there might be able to tell me more. If that name or this face mean anything to you, I'd like you to call me. My number's 555-736-7360.
[Her smile widens now. It's certainly more genuine than the smile a few minutes before -- and relaxed, too.]
Hope to hear from you soon!

Is that so? Well, it's a good thing that I'm a grown woman and perfectly capable of taking care of myself.
video
[Rei fails to notice how much of a bitch she's being.]
What kind of things do you remember, anyway?
video
Not a thing! That's why I'm asking around. If anyone knows anything about me, they'd be connected to this network, right?
So, either I'll find out someone knew me, or I'll be back to square one.
video
Did you find an item in your possession you didn't recognize, recently?
video
Well, I must be special then.
[No, she really doesn't remember a thing.]
The only thing that's changed recently is my appearance. It happened around the time I saw that burst of light in Vegas. On TV, of course; I don't have time to be traveling right now.
video
video
I'd... I'd actually prefer not to say.
video
[Looks away, then back at Misato.]
My eyes used to be blue before all this, so I get it, sort of.
video
[Oh god, she can't have some little fourteen year old thinking who-knows-what about her body? Why did she open her big, stupid mouth?]
It's not something simple like the color of my eyes changing. [She wishes it were, though.] It's a scar where I didn't have one before.
video
That's a pretty tough spot.
[A pause.]
Just ask around. I'm sure someone will recognize your face from their memories. [Hinthint]
video
I don't think I ever caught your name.
video
Yourself?
Re: video
[Okay, this kid is a weird one.]
You don't happen to be related to a Shinji Ikari, do you?
video
Twins, actually.
Video
Yeah, he apparently remembers me. He has a photo and everything. I just have no idea how I'd know him, you know?
Video
I just didn't say anything because I was worried he may not have wanted me to do so.
[Shrugs her shoulders.]
Someone who gives teenage boys sexy pictures of themself. I can think of a few ways.
Re: Video
I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm not into that sort of thing!
Video
Re: Video
[Misato doesn't have the least bit of interest in giant robots, so she hopes she's just mistaken. Cars, on the other hand? Now that's something she can get behind.]
Video
Maybe you were one too? Though I only remember fighting with Shinji, Myself, and her.
Re: Video
[Misato's mouth hangs open for a moment.]
You really think I could have piloted one of those things?
[Misato's expression goes thoughtful, as if she's really considering it.]
I guess it could explain where the scar came from.
video
Although the fact that four out of five of us are teenagers, while you're way older might mean otherwise.
No way to tell until you get more echoes.
video
Way. Older?
[If there had been a coffee mug in her hand, it would have shattered in her grasp.]
I'm only 23, you know!
video
I'm only fourteen.
That's nine years.
video
[Keep telling yourself that, Misato.]
