[TODAY EVERYONE IS TREATED TO A BEAUTIFUL VIDEO OF MATT WITH incredibly blue hair. He is relaxing at his desk and is completely serious looking.]

I am now a member of the cool hair club. If you wish to join, I will help with the dye. The drugstore down the street sells hair dye in blue, pink, purple, orange and green.

[He looks like he's going to say something else. Decides against it. Leans forward as if he's going to turn off the video.

Pauses. Leans back a little again. Looks kind of uncomfortable.]

Advice on not becoming a human sacrifice. Go. [And then he turns off the video feed.]

Sometimes it's easier when you tell someone else, you know. [Now he's just saying it because he's curious and it makes him feel like a bad friend but if Phillip knows more about this stuff Matt kind of feels like he needs to know.]

[Phillip goes quiet again, hugging Matt a little tighter to make sure he won't hate him.]

I-I remember seeing you... well, actually the girl, I guess. But she was h-hanging on a door like a lock, and... [oh this is the part he really doesn't want to say.] I think I was behind the door. I-I was the thing she was sealing inside...

[All the pieces are starting to click together. All of them except for who the girl who took his place was.

And who the older looking kid who shared Phillip's powers were. Maybe they were all one in the same.]

... Guess I don't have to worry about unleashing anything, then. You're already here. [It's a bad joke, but he holds onto Phillip to let him know he's not upset.] I guess we're drawn to each other, huh? [That might've sounded a little creepier than he intended.]

[Not the best joke, no, but Phillip can't really be too much more upset than he is. And... oddly enough, that comment doesn't come off as creepy at all, then. After all, he did feel pulled towards Matt when they met.]

We must've known each other pretty well, then. They were probably stuck there a while. [He had a feeling, anyway, that his decision was kind of permanent.] We might just be a fresh start.

I hope so. [But now he's got a mantra going in his head, reminding him that he's not bound by fate like his stupid past self thought. Everything will be ok. He has the choice to not be that.]

[It takes him a minute to think about that. Then he laughs a little.] Your parents are letting you?

[darkhourdear]

[Phillip nods.] Yeah. They made sure I knew the story was fake and everything.
