[Someone has started recording themselves in a mirror.

It's a young man - Shawn Minamoto from Locke High, should you know him. Around his reflection he's drawn a frame of numbers in black dry-erase marker, pulled from his network number in a series of easy equations as well as a cipher - apparently, he's found the word "giraffe" somewhere in whatever code he worked his numbers into, and has also drawn a giraffe jumping through a hoop somewhere in things.

And in the middle of the numbers, he's leaning into the mirror in a pair of sunglasses, grinning like a loony.]

Heh heh! Where ya been, bunch of scrambled digits?

Heard there's been some zetta radical shit going down all over the grid in town for approximately 1.4 months that I wasn't allowed to know about - 'cept I figure I actually WAS - starting with those codes that no one's been giving out, and word on the street says that having the guts to derive anything out of it gets a poor, stupid ballsy binomial a house on fire, so I figure that for now you SPECIAL factorin' people exclusively - "my people" or some junk like that - get a good eyeful... of my eyes!

[He takes off the sunglasses and smirks - he may or may not be admiring his own yellow cat eyes.]

Feh. Guess I wouldn'ta wanted certain someones dragging me off to get surgery or some garbage anyway. But man, would I have taken swell optics like these over baseline ones almost every zero gets growing in his head.
