lightsoflife: (it's as simple as that)

Talk at work has been very interesting the past week, thanks to that business with the snake. I don't know which are better to listen to, the ones who try and make sense of the magic and science fiction that's become reality around here or the ones who just spin wild theories in the middle of a laboratory.

That said, has anyone gotten anything interesting out of all that chaos? I'm thinking of something left behind by the snake or whatever else came with it. It could be interesting to have a look at anything people have picked up over the past few months - some of the materials I've gotten my hands on before have added to what we know right now, though not all of them. I work over at the forensics lab so I'm experienced with analyzing certain items, and I know there are others among us with expertise in other fields as well.

And speaking of that it may be helpful to bring this back again: a list of those with specific fields of expertise to offer knowledge in and those with specific items or echoes that might be of scientific interest. It's intended as a tool to connect people whose interests overlap, though I admit it's somewhat outdated by now. Feel free to add yourself or let me know if someone's gone off the grid - I haven't been able to keep track of it all.

Of course, for everyone it's best to remain careful. That goes double right now, after last week.
