What the hell kinda of weird people do you know?

First, not machines. Therefore, there's nothing to take apart.

Second: People study the unknown through observation.

Third: How is this any worse than people trying to flat out murder us?

And third, if they flat out murder us, we're the victims. If they do it for a "good cause" or science, we're a necessary sacrifice.

And seriously, what idiot would kill something they wanted to study anyway? If you kill it, you don't get to see how it works because it's DEAD. IT doesn't work any more.

One way we're dead and they have a way to keep the rest of us under control. If society as a whole agrees that what's going on is necessary, they're less likely to fight back to help us.

And if it's us against everyone else, it's going to be a lot harder. There's only a few dozen of us...
