I only slept two hours after yesterday. Two hours, after spending the whole day fighting. It's the tenth, right? I didn't just sleep through Monday without realizing it?

[Hajime sounds pretty worn out. The Lord of the Bugmen had a very long day after fighting Wise Snake, and he is blissfully unaware that his TV interview has been airing all over the place.]

Everyone's in one piece? Let me know if you need a good meal after everything that happened; I can work something out.

[He gives a long sigh. It would be even longer if he realized that the interview had actually aired.]

And if anyone's got any advice on dealing with your family suddenly finding out about this, that would be helpful. I think I'd rather fight snakes again…

I see. You two were always close. Maybe it's for the best that she knows. She can help you keep your parents from knowing, if that's still something you want to do.

I'm still feeling a little rough. The bruises are turning some great colors. But my head's stopped hurting.

It can be difficult to protect them under such circumstances. But all we can do is try our best.

But do not forget that they would likely wish for the best for you, too. Perhaps them knowing is not such a bad thing, in that case.

All right, but what's she doing -- what does she think of all of this?

You worried 'cause she's worried? Or is she holding it against you, or something... stupid like that?

I don't think she will...but she'd been worried about me. I guess I'm glad she knows why I was acting differently, but now she's got a different sort of worry.

Oh. Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

It's just my sister now, but I know she wants me to tell Mom and Dad. I...kind of don't know if I'm going to do that. What am I supposed to say? "Surprise, your son's a giant bug now?"

[And then if his parents saw that interview he gave...]

But yeah, call your mom. At least let them know you're okay. Might buy you some more time.

[It is not an easy thing to keep lying about if they're right there.]

I...might have to ask Dad if he'd even want that. I wouldn't put it past some health inspector to decide he needs to shut a place down because they've had a really big roach infestation.

[He is trying to joke too, even if he is probably a little too realistic about it.]

Yeah, she wants me to tell them but she says it's my decision.

Oh, man, the colors. I don't know what it is about green that makes bruises look worse than usual. Just remember what the talking horse said and don't try to push the mind powers too hard.

Yeah. I've been trying. I think I've done okay so far.

My sister did tell me that she was glad she now knows why I've been acting strangely the past few months. So I guess there's that.

Must be really good food if the bugs get that big though.

You sound as though your heart is in the right place.

No matter what other difficulties you may run into on your path ahead, I believe that counts for a lot in these circumstances.

I'm worried because she's worried, yeah. But she stayed over last night and we had a long talk, and now she says she's just glad she knows why I've been acting weird.

[He's still not happy this happened, but it could have gone much worse, really. And he knows it.]

I guess I'm stuck worrying them all either way.

No. I haven't told them.

I'd say it's still best that they don't know. You don't need to worry them needlessly.

Or have to explain the Lord of the Bugmen to them. I don't think they'll like that.

I'm not sure that I like that.

I've barely used them since all of the fighting. Tried to practice just moving objects, but I'm having a hard time dialing back the force. Broke a glass, called it a day...

You could probably say the same thing about a radioactive Twinkie left in the breakroom of a nuclear power plant.

Nothing of note, here. A scratch here and there, but they're mostly healed already. Yourself? Where were you, during all that? I only saw a few of us, and only one or two people I actually knew before things started being knocked down.

That's what I told her, but she says I'm already worrying them with the long hours, and that apparently I haven't been talking as much lately.

I dread the day I ever have to explain that to them.

The cameras surprised me. What else was I supposed to do? Blame Shou for the name and that time he took me through a drive-thru.

Stella and I were talking about going to a junkyard so I could blow some cars up while testing the energy scythe thing. You want to come too? If you accidentally blow something up there, no one's going to notice.

What are you gonna do now?

No, the Twinkie would be radioactive and make the bugs grow really big...

[Man, the one time he tries to joke, and he fails at it. Sadness.]

Yeah. And for all of us. This stuff doesn't really get any easier after a while.
