WHO: Chris Starsky, Mordin Solus
WHAT: Checkin' out dem robot eyes.
WHEN: 3:00 Monday, 2013-05-13
WHERE: LSR clinic
[ Mordin's basically been going through everything in the clinic - patient files, insurance information, all that paperwork - and memorizing it. No sense wasting his new memory. The front desk is fairly disorganized as a result, but Mordin looks happy, and is humming the Modern-Major General's song as he works.]

Er... hello?
no subject
Ah, yes. Starsky, good to see you. This way, please.
[ He leads her into one of the examination rooms. While most doctors offices have posters and flyers with various medical diagrams, LSR is remarkably barebones - it has the necessary equipment, but little else. As they walk, he asks:]
Any symptoms? Eyestrain, aches, tiredness, swelling, flu-like symptoms?

... it wasn't fun.
I do very rarely have traces of blood in my tears but it doesn't usually last long?
I've gotten some mild chest pains, but the main thing there is this sort of pulsing vibration when I get one of those vision flashback things.

Likely not suffering from organ rejection, but should take blood samples, just in case. Can run scan for more metal in body. Lie back on bed, please.
[He readies an opthalmoscope.]
no subject
Yeah, I figured. And a scan's probably a good idea.

[ Mordin peers through the opthalmoscope. He mutters something to himself, every now and then, switching to the other eye, but doesn't seem to find anything too worrying.]
Eyes don't seem to be affecting your health in any way. Don't function all that differently from regular eyes, although clearly came with some sort of brain-interface software. Odd. Should run blood test now.
[ He readies a syringe.]
no subject
[She's gonna close her eyes and not look when he draws blood. Always upsetting.]
no subject
Alright, blood drawn. Have MRI scanner in different room, will need to follow me.
no subject
You're better at that than my last doctor, guy left a huge bruise.
[And she follows him into the next room.]
no subject
[Mordin leads her back through the clinic to another room, similarly bare. All that's there is the MRI machine.]
Lie down, please. Had an MRI before?
no subject
Nope, never. ... isn't it magnetic?
[she points to her eyes]
Will those be problematic?
no subject
About to find out, aren't we?
[He starts the machine.]
no subject
[So luckily no, her eyes don't come out of her head, but they DO vibrate and her vision goes blurry. She ends up having to press her hands over them hard]
Rrrtgh TURN IT OFF. I FEEL LIKE THEY'RE GONNA GET PULLED OUT OF MY HEAD.
no subject
Hm. Magnetic metal - odd. Wouldn't have used it myself. Still, internal organs seem to be fine - will examine more closely later. Sorry about the eyes.
[He does look genuinely apologetic.]
no subject
... weird.
Anyway, well, um, that's... good to know. Also I guess I should stay away from powerful magnets.
[... actually though now she might go home and test just how much iron is in there. Or whatever's causing the magnetism...]

[ooc: Also, there IS an energy ball in her chest -- LONG STORY, TRANSFORMERS IS A WEIRD CANON, LA LA LA -- which should cause a blurry image of *some sort* on one of these scans]

[Second verse, same as the first. The clinic remains bare, although one can't help but notice that Mordin seems to have an odd preference for dim red lighting.]
Again, will need to lie down.
