Unprompted, Winter's voice begins to broadcast to the network; it's pretty clear she's done it on purpose, but... what's going on?
"I just... want to say something. To you, and... to everyone, fighting for their lives out there. I think everyone k-knows, but... no matter how bad it gets, no matter how scared we are, or how much we want to run away, or... any of that... before we're people with numbers, or reincarnated, or whatever we are... we are people. T-this is our city, but it's more than that. This is... a city we live in. Some of us grew up here. Some... only came recently. B-but it's not just us. Everyone that lives here is counting on us. We are a-all that's left. If we don't protect them... nobody else can! So we... need to make this count! Everything we can do, all our practice, our struggles, our dreams...! Everything comes down to this!" She's getting too emotional, and she knows it. But she doesn't care. There is no better time than now to impress that. Everything... everything came down to today. Every second, every person... nothing can be taken for granted.
"I am so... s-so proud to be able to work with all of you. To get to know all of you, to share in your lives. Some of you, I don't know that well yet. I w-want to change that. So... I will fight today, to make sure we have a tomorrow. I'm counting on all of you! So..." Her voice cracks, but she doesn't care. She's too keyed up. "Let's do this!"
