According to a post titled FAQ three-point-oh, anything can be a pulse, or echo. Apparently concepts can also be echoes, like, say, a way to end the world. A world, anyway, because I believe the agenda here is to save the one we're on right now? Or at least keep unwanted conquerors off the metaphorical lawn.

[Yeah, someone's read through the FAQ and a bunch of other posts before making his own. But for someone who's just had his world turned around and has stumbled on something really strange, and apparently has just gotten info on how one can end the world, he sounds pretty casual about the whole mess.

Spoilers: he's just pretending to be casual. Good thing he hasn't turned on his webcam because he's frowning.]

Which obviously means something I had gained back then was likely a piece of knowledge from a previous life, and it's not my imagination running away from me. [And that's news to him. Consider his interest piqued, despite all his questions of what kind of person he was back then to know such things.]

Ah, where are my manners. Cam, at your service. Actual service... hmm, I suppose you can say some medical knowledge but without proper training is something.

I'm sure the ability to act accordingly to your knowledge will arrive soon, as well. They tend to catch up with memories at some point.

You believe in past lives? [he has to ask since he tends to call his other his past self despite the trappings of later technology]

Ok, seriously, now, is it really as simple as it being a past life, do you think? I mean, I'm new here too, but... Some of the people here seem to have a lot more going on than should be possible.

That's quite something to be carrying about.

Part of my upbringing. I have Buddhist relatives.

That is IF I do that that ability. I'm not ruling anything out, but not assuming anything either.

So far, all evidence seems to be pointing at that, not to mention that's the norm. Are you really going to rule out a past life just because you suddenly gain metal skeletons, or strange swords or, say, memories of a weird cult?

I'm not saying past lives aren't at play at all, I'm just wondering if that's really all. I mean, not to sound like some comic book nerd, but with all that's being echoed back, it's almost like the existence of alternate dimensions would explain a few things too.

That much is obvious! Especially with the echo compilation floating about. There are interesting things there that seem impossible and yet here we are, in a position we'd think is impossible.

So you think it would let you have the memory of a way to do such great deeds, but not grant you the way itself? That would be too cruel, wouldn't it?

Especially since it would probably include how to save yourself while everything else crumbles, too.

Hmmm... [He actually pauses to mull on it.] No, I believe it's best to keep it to myself for now. Who knows what someone else would do with that kind of knowledge, as incomplete as it is.
