[It's a bit late on a school night, but that hasn't stopped this teen from turning to the network. He appears to be on his laptop, though the only lighting comes from the computer screen as he has the lights off in his room. He's quiet possibly in his pajamas since he's wearing a T-shirt that's way too big for him too. His voice is a bit hushed when he speaks.]

I've been checking this place for a couple weeks and trying to figure it out, so I don't need the tutorial. Can't say I buy all of it, but I'm not here to argue. I need to ask something about those so-called "Echoes" or whatever they really are.

[He grimaces a bit and shifts uncomfortably.]

Are they normally so...random? Like giving you an irrational hatred of a fictional character? Along with a different mental picture than how you normally see them in images?

[He glances over his shoulder for a second.]

Oh, and I'm Nick. I'm usually busy with school, but this has been bugging me the last couple nights.

Yah. They gave me an accent, different colored hair and the ability to almost dodge bullets. So hating a fictional character sounds pretty normal.

At least it could make sense if you said your hair was dyed. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to tell people if I start punching drawings in the face...

Also no offense, but the ability to "almost" dodge bullets doesn't make it sound like it changed much. You still get shot.

Hi? Does this club have a lot of ties to mythology or something?

I'm not sure if I buy that past life theory just yet. This is somebody almost everyone has heard of and definitely never existed.

Right, I'll take this over growing extra arms or something. It still doesn't add up from the theories I've seen brought up, though.

I don't think they're random. I mean--I don't know but it seems like it's always stuff that connects. The first thing I ever got was a tattoo. I thought it was just weird, but the guy I remember about had one, too. [He pauses, waves his hands and shakes his head (not that Nick can see, but) hoping he didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about, or even that he understood exactly what Nick was asking because he probably didn't. He's really bad with people, so he follows up in a squeaky, rushed, apologetic tone.] That's probably not what you're asking but it might not be important, but I don't think it's random--

[No that's getting back to an answer that could be totally wrong and Jacuzzi cuts himself off, staring at the keys of his laptop.] I mean I could be wrong, I don't know too much so I'm probably wrong, but if you're thinking different, maybe it's for a reason???

[...That made enough sense to him, he'll let it slide. But it takes him a few seconds to figure out how to respond.]

It did relate to something I had just seen, yeah. But the only way I know it did was because I felt like it involved the same person. ...Who never existed in the first place.

I got a burning hatred for sweets a while ago, that was pretty random. But mostly they seem a little more significant.

I'm not sure how any of this could be considered "significant" from what I've seen. This stuff happens, sometimes it helps, and usually it means some sort of problem anyway.

Mmm, well... like people have said, they're very random, really. I can throw a mayonnaise tube hard enough to split wood, I can bake chocolate fondants, I remember a talking kind of bunny-like creature and a seriously long list on nicknames... the list really just goes on from there. [He smiles widely, shrugging.] Although yours is admittedly definitely really damn weird. What kind of fictional character?

A horse showing up out of nowhere is weird, but at least they're real animals. It's Cupid, of all the random ones to even care about in the first place.
