Anders' glance is caught by the movement of that hand through that ... hair, or perhaps a really artistic wig made to look like something that isn't hair ... hm. "Reallocate your household funds. Divert more to groceries, less to hair products," he suggests, half-joking.

"Too late for that," Julien says happily. "I haven't put anything in my hair but burdock shampoo for months. But the money I've ended up saving there's all ended up tied up in pigeon food."

Anders blinks. "Are you telling me burdock shampoo does ... that?"

It's tempting, entirely tempting, to say yes, it turns your hair blue and fluffy and really fine and dense. Julien does not.

"This? Pulses, actually. Well, not the color. The color's mine - again, though, it's been months. It went white."
