town meeting, alien breaking hoa rules

Where: Elian Price’s house – specifically, the basement
What: The Numbers discuss how to go about addressing the alien in the farmhouse. Nothing could go wrong, certainly?

"Oh! Oh, right, I remember talking to you now!" He laughs briefly. "Sorry, I--network stuff's been pretty hectic for me lately, I guess I kinda got confused with all of it."

Then he realizes what he's just implied in finally recognizing her. "Not--not that you're a killjoy! I think it's actually pretty good to think about stuff like that." Especially when so many other people on the network are willing to blow up first, ask questions later--but Danny's not going to mention that part, since he's pretty sure a bunch of those 'blow up first' people are here at this meeting with them.

Well, THINGS HAPPENED...

She gives a mild laugh, shaking her head. "No, that's fine. It wouldn't be the first time I've been called that if it were the case."

She smiles briefly, but it fades a bit as she scans the crowds.

"It's been hectic for a lot of people lately, it would seem." Herself included, but she's already made that apparent enough on the Network to not want to dwell on it in person. "The big question here is if people can actually manage to reach a consensus on things here. It's almost surprising to see so many people here..."

She shrugs. "I'd gotten the impression cohesion is something we've had difficult with as a grand whole."

Danny's light grin turns to a frown. His tone suddenly sounds a lot more serious. "Yeah...it is. But at least we're doing something about it now--there's this whole meeting thing and people are talking about options and stuff. No one's doing stuff on their own or hiding information or anything this time."

(Guess who's still salty about the earthquake, that's right, it's this guy.)
