When: 1/9/14 afternoon
Where: Starbucks
What: The hunt for caffeine leads to two cops running into the other.
[What's the best thing ever after dealing with a bunch of teenagers (several of which may have accidentally nearly fallen asleep due to staring at them too long)? Coffee. A big cop of coffee. Maybe a red eye. Nah, black eye. Yeah. Two shots beats one. After everything that's happened and what's going to happen when everything comes to light (tomorrow? yeah probably), he damn well deserves two shots.
It's during this coffee musing that Karl steps inside his usual Starbucks. The teeniest look of triumph crosses his face upon noticing how few other people are here right now. Ah, looks like he's managed to be the afternoon rush. Good. Today is a good day. Maybe this good luck will make all the paperwork he has to later magically fill itself in. Hey, a guy can dream.]
