[ Even if there were other important matters on his mind, Gerald Vakarian had been thinking about one thing in particular since the New Year began. So, after a productive day (or as productive as police officers stating "we've told you all we know about ThunderCorp, Agent Vakarian" in ten different ways can be"), he figures it's time to give this strange network a whirl yet again.

This time, he connects via a piece of paper, and he can't quite say that it makes him comfortable. Thankfully, his bold text doesn't quite give that away. ]

SO, SEEING HOW THIS IS ALL NOT A DREAM, I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU COULD TELL ME WHAT SORT OF THING THIS IS.

I'm not sure if he's a zombie, I've never actually met him. I just know about him because my ex-boyfriend decided he was hungry one day and took a bite out of his arm.

[Legit what happened, said with the utmost seriousness and linefacedness.]

So let me get this straight: Your ex-boyfriend is a zombie, who took a bite out of the arm of a zombie-ghost because... he craved human flesh?!

I can't confirm or deny if he's a zombie. I'm not actually sure what he is, honestly.

Two weeks ago, if I could hear myself talking now, I'd say that I've gone completely insane.

No, but I think he said it had something to do with his powers? He wasn't terribly clear about that. I get the impression that he's more of--and this is going to sound weird--a magical energy vampire.

That sounded a lot more intelligent in my head, I'm sorry. And trust me when I say I'm right there with you.

It sounds almost as intelligent as a cricket-brid-lobster-dinosaur, so I'll cut you some slack.

[ a sigh ]

See, aliens could almost make sense, after all, giant universe, trillions of planets, and all that.

But the rest of it makes my inner Engineering student shake his head in horror as anything remotely resembling science or sense begins to break down around him.

[A chuckle and a sigh.]

It's a hard pill to swallow, to be sure. I'm still battling with the concept of all of us on the network being reincarnations of other people, but that's more of a personal battle of beliefs than realism. It's hard to say what is real or what will happen nowadays.

Someone proposed an "alternate universe" theory to me, and that felt a bit easier to choke down than "reincarnation". Whatever's happening should still be impossible, and it's still managing to happen.

[ And have a sigh in turn. ]

Expect the worst, and hope for the best. At least I haven't had any physical changes like a lot of people around here.

I've heard that one too, and it makes more sense to me as well. Most of my memories come from what seems to be the future, which makes reincarnation theory even harder to swallow.

And hopefully you won't. I haven't either, but I've heard it can be a bit... interesting, we'll say.

It's the same for me, I think. Or at least, all the memories I've gotten are from a completely different part of the galaxy. With space dinosaurs.

[ a pause ]

Damn, I'm starting to say this all with a straight face.

You have space memories as well?

Well... the creature in my one memory referred to what they were on as a "station", and more and more, I'm almost positive that it's an alien, so yeah... I'd say that it's definitely about space.

[ a pause ]

Probably a galaxy far far away.

[ Oh God. That was probably the most obvious and the WORST pun he could have used. Oh Space Wars. Such a classic. ]

That makes sense.

[She doesn't groan at that pun, but yeah why. ~~Also Space Trek is better.~~]

There are a few people here with memories of space and space stations, myself included.
