Who: Skyler (
strikeraid) and Helene (
spellfire)
When: January 04, last Saturday, around noon-ish?
Where: In an abandoned warehouse in Key territory
What: OuO Friendly sparring! Friendly. Please. Oh my god don't kill him
He's not entirely sure how Helene managed to convince most of the members in their group to keep watch outside the warehouse for the next several hours, but there he was, waiting for her to return from outside, sitting on some hollow crates and rolling his pipe between his hands. He had brought up sparring in order to get more echoes, but in the midst of discussing the idea, they realized that having a spar in any of the places the gang usually hung out would just be asking for unwanted attention when their echoes started triggering. This was the solution. It would only work as long as no one asked too many questions, left their posts, or thought too hard about it... He's pretty sure that Helene would be able to fully discourage the first two, but he's hoping that most of his fellow team members would kindly mind their own business.
... What exactly was she telling them? He looks over at the door. Why is it taking so long for her to come back? Despite himself, he's getting pretty excited about this. If he's learned anything about himself over the past few weeks, it's that he much prefers fighting someone to mugging them. He's pretty sure that this would be the only real fun he'd have for a good long while.

But yes, what we're here for. He raises his eyebrows once and quickly, a slight smile appearing on his face as he bends his shoulders forward in a bow, arms open. "Ladies first."

"If you insist~"

No bowing, no playing- this may be a spar, but she counted on you to dodge, and quite frankly? If you hadn't, you wouldn't be worth her time. She knows she's a better fighter than you, but if she doesn't go all out, what the fuck are you getting out of this?
Other than a chance of an Echo. Pulse. Whatever.
But she's moving forwards again, throwing another kick. Not that she's afraid to throw a punch, but, hey. Longer reach.

He blocks that kick too, letting it glance off his forearm - oh yeah, that's going to bruise - and then aims a fist at her face. Just a straight shot from his right fist to her face, nothing fancy for right now.

"Don't call me that."
One of the rules with names may be to not reveal it bothers you, but Helene figures Skyler's not the type to push when she's established a boundry.

and he won't be until they're fighing on a roof in a couple of monthsbut he is definitely going to keep this in mind."Speaking, guh." He rolls back, hopping a little before aiming another two punches at her, a right-left set of hooks. "Speaking of nicknames, how long am I gonna be the 'Noob', anyway?"
no subject
Aw, she's just joking. The look on her face has lessened, anyway, and she holds up her forearms to block his punches.
"'Til you get a new one," she adds after a moment, throwing a cross when his own blows let up for a moment. "Make yourself stand out. Got mine from my last crew, coz someone else already went by 'Bitch'."
Well, it's true.
no subject
"Well... How do you do that?" He's knows he's not particularly exceptional. The only things he had going for him was his physical skill and a talent for sucking up to the right people. It's not much to make a reputation off of... And it's definitely not the kind of direction he's been trying to go for.
Huh. He's trying now. Weird.

"Stand out."
The next strike is more of a slap than anything else, a cuff across the side of the head. Duh, stupid.
"Do something worth something. You fast? Speedy. You got the best eyes for watch duty? Looker. You use a porn store to hide from the cops? Ballgag."
Yes, that last one really happened. Sadly Ballgag has since left the gang business, and gone to 'greener' pastures.

He shakes it off, muttering to himself inaudibly, "But I don't want to be called Cocksucker or something..." He throws a couple of wide swings at her, more for show and to throw her off what he said. He definitely doesn't want her to ask him to repeat himself. He does spend the next few seconds in silence though, trying to think of what he's good at. The list is very small.
