Still, finals time aside, she's been thinking a lot, mentally turning over again and again all the nonsense crammed in her head by her various Echoes, the powers she's gained in between. Eventually, she has to say something else to start with, this time with a noticeably different tone to it than before... if as to the point as ever. ]

So, it's been a month now since this network showed up. I've been wondering: has anyone deliberately tried to induce a pulse/hollow heartbeat/whatever you want to call them? I'm not talking about touching the statues.

I'm interested in learning to fight. As far as I can tell, that seems to be important towards whatever reason this is happening to us.

Also, this is a long shot, but: Is there anyone here who is good at identifying weapons? In addition, is there any way to determine exactly what a feather came from?

Spent time in FBI. Can likely help you with weapon.

For feather, will need ornithologist. Can't help you there.

As for triggering alterations, problem lies in complete inconsistency or triggers. Have been collecting as much data as possible on potential triggers, and still can't find consistency.

... that's a good idea, actually. We should start cataloging what triggers them. I think sometimes they're random, but those snake statues are absolutely a cause. I think a lot of people got hit by Paul Ben's death, and some more got hit by those dogmen.

If we can start triggering them deliberately... I kind of want to, y'know? Most of the visions I've gotten don't make sense, and the useful stuff is all over the place too. But maybe if I get more I can make some sense of it all...

For the weapon, it'd depend on the kind. I know a lot about exotic guns. And hell, medieval weapons, 'cause of my D&D hobby. I can have a look.

Everyone's experiences seem so radically different that it almost sounds impossible. But maybe if you found people who have had similar "pulses" and figure out what caused them... it might help to link them together. Find some common thread.

Truth be told, she's been half caught between guilt and embarrassment ever since her outburst after Paul Ben's death, since things have been slowly progressing.
