[ The handwriting starts out... normal. Not very neat, and hastily written, but normal. But the longer it goes on, the worse it gets. Not as far as to be illegible, but almost. ]

Is the clinic open today? It's notguaar guaranteed since it's private I suppose. I thoght thought I'd go but I actually don't know if I can make it. I could use help even if it's not open.
[ He writes out the address to his flat and his name so they know which door it is, and the message ends there. ]
((OOC: Kotetsu's going to come to his aid, but if anyone else wants to feel free to contact me I guess? He'll be able to respond for a while - so if anything he can say someone is coming - but eventually the pain will get too much and there'll be a delay until after his second heart has grown back completely. :') I made an OOC post about it here. ))

Yes, we're open. Take it easy, it's better if someone drives you... Uh - okay, how's your breathing?
[Handwritten]
Well I can breathe.

You have someone who'll drive you?
no subject
Yes.

Good. Look there's... not much I can do. It... whatever it is it should end on its own eventually, and ease up. [he hopes] Hang on, just - try to find a more comfortable position to wait.

Is anyone coming to help you?

[And after a long pause]
I uh...let me know, when you've gotten medical attention.

And then the next day!

The pain was because I was... growing a second heart.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I better deal with the repercussions of this... little incident.

[And after a pause]
Good luck with that.

i can be there in like twenty minutes
how bad is it will you be okay that long
[15 if he fudges the speed limit a bit, maybe 10 if he runs a couple red lights too...`_`
One of the things he actually really misses about his life pre-network is the ability to fucking call 911 about these things.]

[No one really knows what would have happened if those pulses like the time Shiro was puking out his stomach lining or bleeding out or when Julien's lungs shrank would've actually killed them if they hadn't received attention, after all.]

--> action?
[He gets there in something like 12 minutes, mostly because he pretty much said fuck it to speed limits, and only stopped at red lights long enough to make sure no one was coming from a crash-able direction before speeding on ahead.
Kotetsu actually doesn't even remember to knock when he finally makes it to John's apartment, testing the knob and finding the door unlocked before calling out inside.]
Hello??
action
He sucks in a deep breath, coughs with it, and tries unfurling himself. ]
I'm here.
[ It's so weak he's doubting it can actually be heard. But considering how quiet the whole flat is, it probably can. ]
action
Kotetsu approaches the sofa, then freezes as he realizes he has no idea what to do. Should he carry him on his back? Try to avoid shifting him at all and pick him up as-is? Or something else entirely? Damn it, he's not trained for this, all he knows is basic first-aid and CPR (the latter of which he is desperately trying not to think about the possibility of needing), and suddenly it's as if John is a glass sculpture Kotetsu is terrified to touch for fear of shattering on contact.
And then all at once he hastily snatches out his phone and calls Ravi's emergency number, having forgotten momentarily that John is actually a doctor himself.]
action
He's not used to being the one in pain. Not like this. ]

The brief conversation with the nurse when he calls back basically amounts to just get here ASAP. He hesitates for a moment longer, considering his possible options, and then gives a brief warning before slipping an arm each under his back and legs and lifting him up as gently as possible. The door he came in through is luckily still open, so he does little but kick it shut on his way out (the possibility of a robbery is very low on his priority list right now) before making his way to the car. And grimacing a bit at the realization that John would need to sit upright for the seatbelt to be at all useful.]
...There’s not really a good way for you to lie down in the backseat, I’m sorry. It--won’t be long.
no subject
All he can do is focus on his breathing. He should probably stop caring about what it is and just try to get to the clinic in one piece. Somehow. If he even has any control over it, which isn't likely. Still.
He shakes his head at Kotetsu's words, because it really doesn't matter at all. He's just glad to be on his way.
no subject
He makes his way to the driver’s seat after that, gripping the steering wheel tightly to hide how bad his hands are shaking.]
M’gonna start the car now.
[Just a warning so he won’t be startled or jolted by the engine coming to life.]
no subject
shall we wrap it up here?
When they do arrive, Kotetsu parks (probably illegally...) on the curb in front of LSR before all but running inside to get the attention of a nurse so John can be taken care of.]
Sure!
