[closed now!] zombie season has been extended

Who: Angeline, open!
When: Saturday, December 28th, ~5PM (sunset, or thereabouts)
Where: Locke City
What: Anthony's video post gave Angeline an Echo in which she, too, became a zombie, albeit temporarily.
Warnings: Zombieness, possible cannibalism (probs just nibbles.)

[ after anthony had pointed out her newest echo, angeline ran out of the coffee shop she'd been chilling in like hell was on her heels. she kept her head low and hooded, and her hands gloved, such that it wouldn't be terribly obvious that she was, in fact, a zombie at first glance.

she may:
- literally run into someone
- be waiting at a bus stop
- ??? i have no idea, i'm playing this by ear ]

OOC: SOME USEFUL INFO
- zombieness transmitted via zombie bite
- transformation is almost instant, but couple minutes wiggle room is fine imo
- will have craving for flesh
- can only be killed when brain is destroyed
- shamble or not, it's up to you
- zombieness is temporary and will wear off after a day, sooner if you'd like
- examples of zombies: 1, 2

- the aforementioned coffee shop can be one that a PC works at (if so, lmk!)

[Like any good person when someone is lunging at them, she lifts her hand up with a small scream, which turns into a shriek when it rewards her with a bite into the fleshy part of her hand just below her pinky.

Girl you bite straight through her white gloves which are rapidly turning pink then red now.]

No no! Stop!

[ don't underestimate zombie teeth, yo.

zombie-line's still hanging on, tho, sorry. DELICIOUS PEOPLE FLESH. ]

[She's pulling with all her might, because pain has blurred with the panic of 'someone is biting me!!' while shrieking.

What is with this town no one is helping!]

[ ok, the extended shrieking is kind of too much for a lady zombie's ears. angeline releases holly's hand and shoots her a dirty look.

... then realizes what she's just done.

the dirty looks turns into a horrified one. ]

Oh my god. Oh my god, oh my god--

[ holly should, in fact, be joining the zombie ranks any minute now. ]

[Since she was pulling backwards with so much force the moment she's let go she's falling on her butt, scattering her belongings onto the side walk.

She doesn't notice the change at first, because ow hand, oh my god that is so much blood!]

Why would you do that?!

[She cries, looking up. Skin gone ashey? Eyes a little less bright? Double check, congrats Angeline you've successfully turned a middle schooler.]

I-I- I'm sorry! I don't know what ca-- Oh my god, you're blue, too!

What?! [She can't see herself very well since she has most of her skin covered with clothing because of the weather but she rips a glove off to check and shrieks again.]

No... no what is this?!

I don't know! It just happened to me after I saw a--

[ ding, lightbulb! she drops to a crouch, whips out her phone, and presses it to her ear.

hissing, ] Hey! Hey, are you still there? [ she doesn't know anthony's name, but that's who she's addressing. ]

[scramasax]

[And he's again getting a view of multicolored hair - response is... a split- moment behind prompt as he nudges himself to stop balking and acknowledge - ]

- Yes, what's wrong -- ?

there ain't even a surge of relief at hearing anthony's voice, just panic spilling over into the receiver.

still hissing, ] I bit a girl and she turned into a zombie! What should I do?

Why did you bite her - ?! [Panic meant with instantaneous cracking panic in turn, he does not know, has had absolutely no thought in this entire time of biting people, has repeatedly reassured that he doesn't bite people, and thus was absolutely not prepared for her to be a zombie who bites people, shouldn't even work, she should be dead or dying, zombies don't eat, why - ]

[She's just going to cry now, to actually cry into her hands because she's a zombie that's what they're talking about and how is that even okay?!]

What do I do?

I don't know, it seemed like a good idea at the-- [ angeline stares dumbly at holly as she begins to cry. oh god, oh god, 'what do i do' is right, cripes!

hurriedly into the phone: ] She's freaking out! I'm freaking out! What do I do?

[scramasax]

[A good idea!] I don't know, I don't - [That's held helplessly taught and then - fed along more slowly if not steadily - halting in the way of releasing and grabbing a weight on a rope - ]

... -- Where are you -- I can -- [Sharp cut-off no he cannot give them somewhere to hide, he still doubts John's fine living in a corpse-scented apartment as it is but there could be something, maybe some pulse or maybe the presence of three zombies as opposed to two will make a difference if someone passes by, or maybe he'll simply think of something on the way, the room feels as if it's getting smaller and he swears he hears a noise of moving air and it's far too loud too disturbing and too scraping for an air sound, he's going!] -- Where - [Tries again tripping flatter - ] - are you?

Who is that? Can they help?

[Holly is grasping at straws, she's firmly looking at Angeline and trying her best to not look away!

She will not eat anyone! No!]

[ oblivious to anthony's worries, angeline latches onto his offer like a lifeline. ]

We're-- We're at the bus stop by [ insert local clothing store here ].

[ alas, she doesn't think to grab the bus stop's id number.

at holly's question, she grimaces, reluctant to be wholly honest. she hasn't a clue holly's part of the network, too. ]

Yes, they can totally help. They're coming to help.

[A bus stop, people gather at and leave off at a bus stop, and fair enough, he doesn't think to want the I.D. number, through hasty arrangement and action the store's address i found and he's on his way to it, and all the while utterly fails to think or start to think of what he will do when he gets there, point is to get there first, fixes on spotting for an identifier and actively tries not to overthink anything else -

and that identifier's spotted. His eyes widen - dark blue unmistakably ink-streaked long hair - and he hobbles over, straight in, fast as he can.

Doesn't make a sound or say a word, got to get closer first...]

[Holly has gone back to crying, can you blame her? She's thinking about how she's going to be a zombie for the rest of her.. life? Unlife? What even?!]

I can't go home like this!

[She hasn't even noticed Anthony yet.]

[ well, this is awkward. does she comfort holly or leave her be? given that angeline bit her when she got close, maybe it's best to leave her be...

she pulls her hood up and over her head. combined with her hair that spills over, she's decently hidden, as long as she remains hunched over. she awkwardly scoots next to holly, like maybe they're two heartbroken girls or something, and waits restlessly for anthony.

luckily, increased blood key activity seems to have dampened some foot traffic -- at least around here. someone makes to join them at the bus stop, notices that this seems to be an emotional disaster area, and decides to keep walking.

so, focused on not being noticed, angeline doesn't notice anthony's approach, either.

she shrinks with guilt when holly speaks. ]

[Someone's there! Momentarily hurls himself against a wall around a corner perfectly still, no breath, no heartbeat, intently as he can listening back out onto the street - there's natural city sound, he's not going to hear anything, but he doesn't hear anything he shouldn't by necessity either, takes that as a strong enough cue, shoves himself back off the wall and slumped into walking position, and continues on over in a fixed straight line.

On his part he's forgotten entirely to put his own hood up.

Swallows, there's the one he's certain he identified as Angeline, there's a girl, she'd said she bit a girl, works up a quaky - ] - Uhmm --

[To tentatively announce his presence. It disappears into hoarseness and he tries again on something sort of the edge of a cough, please don't turn around too quickly, please don't be startled, please don't make a scene.] ... - It's me -- it's -- [Abandons that too as he's got it subconsciously, nebulously in mind that he still hadn't gotten to giving his name.]

[She glances up to Angeline an 'It's okay' on her lips when she sees Anthony behind her.

To give her credit she doesn't scream, her hands, one bloodied from the bite goes up to her mouth in shock.]

!!!!

[Is that who was going to help? He talked, that- monsters didn't talk right?]

[ she automatically stiffens at anthony's 'um,' considering it possible attention and thus unwanted. when anthony speaks again, she cautiously lifts her head to look at him.

the light of the bus stop among the darkened sidewalks highlight anthony's features in a dramatic, sharper, and gruesome way. angeline shrinks away from him, then slowly leans forward.

her nose wrinkles. ]

... Hi.

[ hot damn, boy, you stink.

she glances at holly, then back at anthony. well. not at anthony, but anthony's shoulder. ]

What now?

[scramasax]

-- Hi - [He returns, almost all hoarseness - as he utterly fails to catch that Angeline's question was directed at him, her last direct glance was to Holly, who's attention goes from half to fixed since her gasp; likewise hasn't any way of knowing she wasn't an unsuspecting passerby who hasn't seen anything that's been going along let alone been prepared for anything half like having been bitten into by a stranger who happened to be an actual zombie, or for that matter being alone with two zombies.

He's peering around Angeline to make that focus clearer without it occurring to him to gauge whether or not that's counterproductive to actual reassurance, head low, muttering oh so reservedly so as not to solidly cut into the "What now" - ] - I'm sorry, I promise that -- ...I promise - I promise I won't do anything -- [Perhaps a little rougher on the "do", for decisiveness's sake.]

[Well he's not acting at all like any of the zombies in her brothers horror movies, in fact he's almost acting shy.]

H-hi.

[Taking a breath she finally stands, her bags dangling from her arms. Her brows furrow as she tries very hard not to run.]

Where do we go? I can't go home, my parents and my brothers and sisters... [There's a tiny shake at that idea, no she can't go home and possibly hurt anyone. Even if this will worry them by her not being home.]
