o2. video
[The feed comes on to a certain redhead. She looks frazzled to say the least, and a bit irritated to boot.]
I have a question. Has anyone gotten an item from an echo that won't go away? Or, I guess in this case, is stuck? Because I woke up with this--
[The video moves and focuses on her left hand, where a very modest ring sits on her ring finger. It's pretty obvious from how red it is around it that she's been working to try to get it off.]
And I've tried just about everything I can think of and it will not come off. It's too tight. I don't even know where it came from. I can assume, but I have a party to go to in a few days and I really don't want to explain to my college friends that I didn't suddenly get married over break.
[She huffs slightly.]
How do I get rid of this thing?

How do I get rid of this thing?
action;
[ She's done a crap job of that at times, mostly defaulting in favor of school. Go figure. ]
action;
What about you? How are you handling it?
action;
[ So it evened out, more or less. ]
action;
I know how you feel, I did the same thing. Catching up has been a pain, but thankfully nothing's exploded while we were busy with dead week.
Dead month, really. [She laughs a bit. It's either that or cry at the workload.]
action;
[ That's said with a grin, though. She likes the workload, or at least she likes the learning.
Eventually they're going to be out in the world on their own. ]
action;
[And she holds up her coffee mug with a laugh.]
action;
[ ...Though she'd have to pour herself something to drink first, whoops. ]
God, it's hard to believe we're getting this old. College, jobs...
[ ALIEN INVASIONS... ]
action;
Tell me about it. The women at my church keep bugging me about when I'm going to get married.
action;
[ Seriously, legitimate question here. ]
action;
action;
[ Apparently there is always time for romance. She just hasn't figured that out yet. ]
action;
[It's okay, Elly's on the same page.]
action;
[ At least she knows of one or two success stories. ]
action;
Seriously?
[You are not actually using this to get a date, Elly. You just think one of the people on the network is attractive. That's different, right?]
action;
[ Through the grapevine. ]
action;
Really? Who?
action;
[ Literally she just saw it being mentioned in passing/an announcement from them and moved on since she didn't know them. ]
action;
action;
[ She's guesstimating, anyway. It's not something she's had experience with, on the romantic level. ]
action;
Oh?
action;
Well, it's a bit like getting to know someone in double-time, isn't it?
[ ... ]
I don't suppose you have experience there, Elly?
action;
N...
Not exactly.
action;
[ Did you ever have a chance here, Elly? ]
action;
action;
Well, if you ever want to talk about it, I'll listen.
[ ...But Sierra's actually a nice friend. ]
