[The feed comes on to a certain redhead. She looks frazzled to say the least, and a bit irritated to boot.]

I have a question. Has anyone gotten an item from an echo that won't go away? Or, I guess in this case, is stuck? Because I woke up with this--

[The video moves and focuses on her left hand, where a very modest ring sits on her ring finger. It's pretty obvious from how red it is around it that she's been working to try to get it off.]

And I've tried just about everything I can think of and it will not come off. It's too tight. I don't even know where it came from. I can assume, but I have a party to go to in a few days and I really don't want to explain to my college friends that I didn't suddenly get married over break.

[She huffs slightly.]

How do I get rid of this thing?

[Elly tries not to make a face. She tries really hard. For all she knew, it could be for any number of things.]

[She was not home for said surprise fish.]

I got a bowl of fish! It was all hot and yummy!

Did Sierra give you fish?

[She should be mad, but it was probably the equivalent of a Christmas dinner, and she was a vet tech. She'd ask her to try not to do that again, or at least not very often. If she didn't see it, she couldn't prevent it.]

Uh-uh. It appeared out of nowhere! And then I ate it.

[An echo... of a bowl of fish? There were stranger things.]

That's where this came from. [She gestured at the ring.]

[Sniffing at it again. Hmmm... She'll give it a lick before abruptly backing up some, shaking her head.]

It tastes gross!

[Okay try not to laugh here, Elly.]

Of course it tastes gross! You don't eat it, you wear it!

[Mrrr... She puts a paw on it again, scrabbling at it a bit even if she's careful to keep her claws in, as usual. If becoming sentient has helped with any one thing in particular, it's that Mimi doesn't really scratch anymore. ~~Unless it's on purpose.~~]

Do you have to wear it?

[Thank goodness for that. Little kitten claws were unpleasant.]

I don't have to, but it's stuck on, so I don't have much choice.

You can't unstick it?

I tried. See how my finger is red around it?

Yeah, why's it like that? It doesn't smell like blood...

The blood is in there, but it's not bleeding. That's why it looks red. I'm not hurt, but that happens sometimes with people. It's nothing to be worried about.

[She could sense a long-winded explanation coming on.]

[Elly, your cat is looking distinctly confused again.]

You could probably see your blood too, if you didn't have fur. We can ask Sierra sometime if you'd like, I don't actually know myself. She's an expert on animals.
