I have a question. Has anyone gotten an item from an echo that won't go away? Or, I guess in this case, is stuck? Because I woke up with this--

[The video moves and focuses on her left hand, where a very modest ring sits on her ring finger. It's pretty obvious from how red it is around it that she's been working to try to get it off.]

And I've tried just about everything I can think of and it will not come off. It's too tight. I don't even know where it came from. I can assume, but I have a party to go to in a few days and I really don't want to explain to my college friends that I didn't suddenly get married over break.

[She huffs slightly.]

How do I get rid of this thing?

I'm going to guess you've tried soaking your finger in cold water thoroughly already?

I've tried everything that I could think of.

Well, it is winter. Gloves as a temporary cover might help.

Possibly. The stone isn't too big, that might work.

In the long run, if you want it removed and don't care about it's value or the potential for it being magical, and also if it's real gold, decent bolt clippers should be able to slide under and clip it without mangling your finger.

An easier solution might be pretending it's just a pretty ring you got at a shop... Or that your parents did.

My parents would be the ones I would be hiding it from, among others, so that's not going to work.

I'm sure it was at one point, but it's like I've had it on for years. It's too tight, it won't budge.

Of course, if we heated it, we could bend it enough to pull it off... But, uh, I think you can guess how pleasant that'd be on your hand.
