[The man that speaks sounds very British. (It's actually a Ferelden accent, but it sounds British.)]

I've been on the phone all day to ... a lot of different people. Holiday and all. But it turns out that the only ones I can ask about this are all of you.

[Which he doesn't sound very happy about. DEEP BREATH:]

Demonic possession. Does anyone know anything about it?

[A pause.]

... Since I'm asking for information.... I got some antipsychotics the other day. But this network is still here, so I don't think they work. Just in case anyone else was considering that route.

[That voice - and, aye, accent - he does recall, and from a pleasant enough context. He's quick to snap his attention on - and given the question, it'd not be wholly appropriate to let the prepared obligatory greeting forward, wouldn't it - lets it out anyway:] Merry Christmas - sir.

[Comes out abashedly reserved - a combination of wanting to ensure it doesn't come off as wry but at the same time not excessively discourteous given everything has his expression sheepishly blank.]

I'm, uhmm. -- A -- assuming - it's -- about a -- ...vision - or -- ...something along those lines -- [Tone still reserved, mostly even, somewhat tentative. But of course it's about a pulse at any rate if he states he can only ask here but somewhat asked for reassurance - it's not any absolutely immediate problem he's inquiring on beyond that...]

[The thought that it might be an odd question for the day hadn't even crossed Alistair's mind. Blame his complete disregard (or outright scorn) of anything religious. Which, honestly, made the question itself even harder to ask.]

I suppose so, yes. I can't seem to get it out of my head.

[ALSO THE CORPSES THE DEMONS POSSESS LOOK JUST LIKE YOU, ANTHONY. JUST LIKE YOU. Except with armor and stuff but JUST LIKE YOOOOOOU.

[... Which he doesn't say. Because he has more tact than that.]

What did it ermm... [He's not got any idea how to ask this in any perhaps-not-nosy, inappropriate, delving-into-the-undesirable manner.] -- uh. -- Entail - if... -- you don't mind me asking...?

[Anthony on the other hand is Catholic, on one hand, and on another if it's a pulse matter it's within a different reality or sub-reality, who knows whether whatever it is is comparable to any conventional thought of demonic possession. In part hes hoping it does line up to either a conventional idea of possession or something that might touch upon his own visions; either way he's figuratively edging over and peering in to offer something.]

[He really doesn't want to say. Really, really doesn't want to say. Because the more he says it, the more he can't deny that this is something he knows. Not something he imagined, or something he read in a book, or something he dreamed and can't quite shake. Something he's certain of.

[And besides, saying it to his therapist was part of what got him on the antipsychotics to begin with. Which obviously aren't working.]

The ... vision, you mean?

[Better to ask, and see if that's really what he has to answer.]

Right -- ! [Winces. What of his mouth's in-tact tightens a little.] I'm sor -- sorry if I shouldn't be asking -- by the way; I'm uhm... -- only curious... [Stumble and trail-off and in honestly this is a thing he's not exactly excited to discuss or potentially prepare to discuss, either, especially today all things considered...]

It's fine.

[If only it wasn't this ... zombie kid asking. He's not sure how the other will react to what he's about to say, but. Well, he doesn't have any reason to hide it.

[There's a little pause before he continues, voice lower than before.]

There were corpses. Not fresh: old ones. Decayed. They were wearing some sort of really old armor. And they were attacking. [A breath of a laugh: he already knows he sounds insane.] Wave after wave of these corpses. And I knew — I know — that they weren't like ... well. Like zombies. [Why did this boy have to ask?] They didn't come back from the dead. They were still corpses. Just ... possessed. By demons.

... I don't even believe in demons. But I know that these corpses were walking and running and attacking because there were demons possessing them.

[By the end, he sounds rather helpless. He doesn't believe in demons, but he knows they were possessing the corpses he keeps dreaming about.]

[Pause.

Tensing. Eyes steadily widen.

Ohh, dear.

He is tempted to ask whether or not he might've had anything to do with the sparking of that, as it's evidently occurred before, but refrains, that's not as important as a pulse itself, surely, not nearly.]

-- ...That -- [Dry.] -- That ermm. [Thick silent swallow.] - happens... -- There were probably demons in the -- [A long "e" sound in the "the".] -- "world" - your... pulses -- depict... -- I'm erm -- not so sure we are seeing real - alternate realities - or --- pasts or just -- concepts. -- Of things... [A little more voice entered the last few phrases there, but they thickened and the words strained a bit; he's not sure he's talking any sense, that and no one asked, on that last part - may be trying to subconsciously steer away from overthinking the immediate subject unless prompted on that point.]

Wherever it's coming from, it's affecting my brain.

[He says, to the boy who has very obviously had his entirely life changed by these things.]

If they're just concepts, they've still become real for you, haven't they?
