[OPEN] Lovely heroine Raiko appears on the scene
Who: Russel & YOU
Where: Downtown Locke City
When: Sunday, December 22nd
What: Russel's Christmas echo is from that time his best friend dressed him up as an adorable furniture saleswoman for a plan that was definitely going to work and was not stupid at all shut up. This happens in public because of course it does.
Russel's dad needed something picked up from a repair shop today, but he was stuck in a meeting with a publisher, so it was Russel's job to make sure the errand was taken care of. And, of course, he had to take public transit to do it because both his parents' cars were being used by their respective owners at the moment for important business-y stuff.
He left the house properly bundled up against the cold, armed with his trusty iPod and a set of headphones. A solitary wait at the bus stop for his neighbourhood was followed by an uneventful ride to his stop downtown. He disembarked, waving a friendly good-bye to the bus driver.
As soon as the doors closed behind him and the bus began to drive off, he was struck by the sudden hollowness of an Echo. He reeled for a second, still not quite used to that feeling. And then, suddenly, it was freezing. There was a span of about two seconds where he attributed it to the wind from the bus driving off. And then he moved to wrap his arms around himself and realized they were bare.
His eyebrows rose. He looked down at himself and was greeted by a distressing sight.
"Ghk--!" His hands clapped over his mouth, his eyes wide with horror. One, these were not winter clothes and he couldn't go home and change yet because he still had an errand to finish. Two, this was a dress, what?!
To anybody watching from outside the bus stop, it would look like a young woman had suddenly discovered something horrifying after her bus left. To anybody waiting at the stop, well, they would've seen the clothes and wig appear. So hopefully anybody in that category was also part of the network.
[ooc: he really is still going to complete that errand like this, so you are free to encounter him at any point along the way. bus stop arrival, walking to the repair shop, walking back, bus ride home, etc. just make it clear in your tag where you're encountering him.]

[Russel hesitates for a brief second, like he is considering the offer.]
Um, no, that's fi--INE [the driver hits the brakes and WHOOPS RUSSEL WAS STANDING AND NOT PREPARED FOR THAT. he nearly falls backward but latches onto the nearest bar to keep himself upright.]
[poor timing, driver!! once the bus is at a full stop, Russel shoots him a glare.]
[the driver looks back with a hardass, 'get the hell off my bus' glare of his own.]
[AT LEAST IT'S ACTUALLY HIS STOP]
I hope you guys learn a lesson from this! [parting words to the Dians before he makes his way off the bus.]
[that sounded pretty cool!! ...too bad the whole experience was generally awful.]
