Do any of you know Winter Adamas? The girl who got picked off the student council?

She's been having a tough time lately, and... well, I found her on Facebook, and it turns out her birthday is coming up on the 29th!

I'm not usually one for parties, but I hate it when someone gets a raw deal from life, and she deserves to have something go right for her. I talked to her parents, and apparently they'll be around to help with a surprise party.

So, does anyone else want in on this? I can make decorations myself, but I need someone else to help with a cake. ~~Seriously, don't let my sister work on it, she'll burn their house down.~~ Oh, and someone to distract Winter while we get things ready... as well as suggestions for whatever else we might need, too.

Anyway... yeah, let's make this happen! You don't want to be jerks and let her go without having a happy birthday, do you?

Edit: ((I was mistaken on the locks about this thing... you can't lock specifically from someone. So, instead, Jasmine sent it to as many numbers as she could figure out, with her sister's help, while leaving Winter's out. That covers a wide group of people, so as long as your character isn't a known criminal or their number is discoverable, it should be fine.))

This is it. Jasmine takes a deep breath, and moves to answer the door. When she finally does, it should be immediately obvious that Jasmine is doing her best not to appear nervous]

U-um, hi! I'm Jasmine... you must be Kara, right?

That is correct! It is a pleasure to meet you in personal, Jasmine.

[Kara can tell, and so she forgoes the exuberant hug that is her usual way of greeting people when she's in this state. instead she extends a hand, funneling all of her energy into the thousand megawatt smile]

I hope I have not kept you waiting long!

It's good to meet you too... and um, nope! You haven't, ha ha...! Um...

[she took a step to the left, so Kara could come in]

You want to come inside? I have everything set up already. And is that the food...?

Oh, yes! I had some things already made for unrelated practice, so I thought it would be pleasant to bring them.

[the hand drops to her side unshaken, but Kara lets it go. the girl's obviously nervous, and it's nice enough for her to let what is essentially a stranger into her home.

she hops in cheerfully, head already craning to absorb every inch of the new room]

Your home is very lovely!

Thanks... um, you can thank my sister for that. She does a good job of taking care of slobs like me and my dad... Speaking of which, um, it's probably best we not go into my room...!

[she laughed nervously again... and rubbed the back of her head]

Um, sorry about not shaking your hand... I... I don't meet a lot of people, and um...

[she looked down, unable to properly find the words]

Do not worry about it! These are not the sort of actions which people should judge others by.

[she takes a chance and leans over to squeeze Jasmine's shoulder briefly, then pulls away to give another bright smile]

Where shall we begin? I am very excited for you to be tasting the food and for us both to be doing the decoration making!

R-Right...! Um, right this way!

[Jasmine took Starfire down the hall, towards where she'd set up the supplies. All the while, there was a massive blush on her face]

How about... you work on something while I taste the food? Does that sound good?

That is perfectly fine with me! Much of the food is practice for Christmas, so I hope that you do not mind meatless dishes.

[Kara has never had to prepare all the various dishes by herself, so she's wanted to be ABSOLUTELY SURE she's capable of handling it. she holds the bag of food out to Jasmine with a large smile, mind already racing into the colorful possibilities for a banner]

Are you kidding? Lily's always trying to make me eat healthy... I never even react to it, anymore.

[she takes the bag, and sets it on the table, beginning to get the food out]

Just... take out whatever you want and do whatever comes to mind. That's the best basic measure of how creative someone is!

[either with the food or her banner. Kara sits down herself, pulling markers and paper towards her and beginning to scrawl out her design. there are going to be a lot of colors involved, if the markers she's pulled over are any indication]

[Jasmine meanwhile, took out some of the food... after going to get a fork and a plate.

She took it out of the bag and took a moment to look over it, trying to get an idea of what to try first]
