So. It seems like I'm not the only one who's gotten an Echo without a trigger.

[viewers will see her floating cross-legged a decent distance away from her computer, wearing an unusual set of winter clothing. the beaked hood is up, and that is definitely a cloak - or cape? - hanging behind her.]

I don't even celebrate Christmas, so that's one theory out. Maybe. Anyway, I don't think anything set this one off? [she looks a little uncertain, and slightly confused.] I was working in my study when this [she gestures to what she's wearing] showed up. It matches something else I received recently...

[she moves her hand to her right, and a hanger holding a similar outfit floats into view for a few seconds before she shrouds it in shadow and tosses it onto a nearby chair.]

One other thing - I can heal now. With the Blood Keys running around, I thought I should... anyway. I'm not sure how much I can do, but if you haven't done anything too stupid, I can probably help.

Embarrassing? Nah. Rachel saves the embarrassing stories for when she's introducing people to me. I think we're going to be pretty good friends. I mean, past-us were. Superheroes and everything.

Did Rae tell you about our plan to keep going with the superheroics? I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty excited to start up the Teen Titans again.

I was not informed of this, no! Although perhaps this should not surprise me, as I have already been making plans with another friend to do the costumed justice.

[she claps her hands together excitedly]

Perhaps we could combine forces! We have already sketched out outfits and color palettes!

I don't know a lot about Terra, but I don't think she was very into costumes.

Then again, I'm not her. Who's the friend? Maybe I know them. I'm kind of a social butterfly. [a thought crosses her mind and she tries not to look too disturbed.] Especially if it's high school kids, apparently.

Oh no, she is a bit older than the people climbing high school.

[she giggles]

Her name is Miss Ivy! She has posted to the network at least once, so it is possible that you know her already. She is very sweet.

Miss Ivy, huh? I don't know if I've met her. Seems like the kind of person I'd like.

You know, I kind of get that feeling from you, too. Maybe it's just the past-us thing coloring it, but you seem like a really good person too. I'm looking forward to this superhero thing. Want me to try to get in touch with her about dovetailing our plans?

I would like that very much! We have spoken about color schemes for future members, so I think that she would not mind a few more friends to work with.

[her expression slides into apologetic again, eyebrows contracting]

Although I must give you my heartfelt apologies, for I am afraid that I do not actually remember the previous you just yet. But I am absolutely certain that while we are waiting for my other self to catch up we shall become marvelous friends anyway, so I do not think it will be much of an inconvenience.

[Kara: the only person known to apologize for not recalling all of her friends from past lives]

[Brooke takes a moment to actually process why Kara's apologizing, then bursts out in bright laughter.]

Are you saying you're sorry for not knowing the person I used to be? Oh my gosh, Kara, don't worry about it. I barely know the person I used to be. I just found out her name today, and I'm 24 years old!

I have a feeling we're going to be great friends, too, and whenever you echo memories of me back, or vice versa, they'll be pretty awesome, too. I'm sure of it. Until then, don't stress too much, okay?

I will try my best! It is just something which I struggle with, especially when friends are concerned, as they mean a great deal to me and I do not wish to ever disappoint them -

[it is also pretty obvious at this point that another thing she struggles with is stopping herself from tossing out word avalanches. she managed to get a hold of herself fairly early this time, cutting off the train of thought with a sharp nod and the reappearance of her large smile]

But you are right! We will be the good friends now and the other things will follow in their own time. Might I inquire as to your favorite colors and patterns?
