Pulled all nighter getting final project done. Caught cold. Giving up on interacting with the real world for the next couple days, so you'll do instead. I don't need to get out of bed to talk to you folks.

Who's got some cool new stuff? I got a stupid-looking hat. Somehow, I don't think that it's going to be the key to defeating the alien conspiracy.

[On the subject of hats, that is what Sara has forgotten to wear for this video post! In other words, this is the first public video post she's done since she got her big fluffy animal ears.]

There's an idea! I know they make some mechanical ones that are supposed to move depending on your mood, too. But then you'd have to make sure to act ^kawaii~

I am not nearly kawaii enough for this shit, especially when I'm full of Nyquil.

It's hard to keep that kind of thing up! Even I'm not sure I could last, and I'm ever so slightly legendary for being energetic and obnoxiously cheerful. I'm Julien, by the way!

How long have you had those ears? Had to worry about haircuts yet?

Maybe a month or two?

If it comes down to it, I guess I can cut my own hair.

Cool, cool. Or you could book an appointment outside of Locke. Bit of a hassle, I know! I don't think we have anyone in the club with barber aspirations. Personally I know an exaggerated amount about bleaching and dyeing, but that's not the same at all.

I've thought about dying my hair. Couldn't decide on a color, though.

It's a bit on the dark side, but something could be done even without bleach, I think. You know, you could do up something with Kool-Aide to just last a few weeks.

The ears seem like they would be a problem.

Maybe! I've never dyed fur. But it seems like they'd have more sensitive skin than your scalp. So again, Kool-Aide could work. It's gentler than some of the more permanent options.

I'm googling this kool-aid dying thing. It sounds fishy as hell.

Trust me here, it does work! I've done it myself back before I settled on a blue I liked. Okay, sometimes the color isn't quite what you wanted, or you have to scrub the stain off your skin, and sometimes a bit of the dye lingers longer than you liked - but those are issues you get with any dye.

In the end, I think I'll stick with my natural brown.

That's fair! It isn't for everyone. I started in the first place because I was going grey early - it's a thing that sucks about being a boy, sometimes that happens. So at first I was just dyeing that stuff black, and then I had a girlfriend who said, you know, you have some more interesting options...

And I never looked back.

Blue, you said? Must be a pretty bold image.

Oh yes! Not a really vibrant or poppy blue, though. Not these days. I like it a little paler and kind of low-chroma. Gets more of a double-take, or it did.

Of course, I don't have normal hair anymore - it's white, it doesn't grow, and it's ridiculously soft. But it takes dye just fine.

Sometimes I want to tell people "Go on, you can pet it", but that's just a little creepy, won't you agree?

...I was going to say that it depends on who you said it to, but I can't really think of a situation in which it wouldn't be creepy.

Yeah! I'd practically have to set one up, and that'd be a job and a half. And I am just too lazy for that.

After careful inspection I've ruled out shiba. My best guesses are fox or raccoon.
