[ Daylen has been sat reading through things, eyebrow slowly rising incredulously as it gets stranger and stranger. It's rather like being in an episode of some supernatural television show where everything has an odd twist. Or like watching Ancient Aliens.

Disturbingly, he realises this kind of thing might mean those theories might hold weight too. ]

A friend of mine is rather fond of theories based around corruption, government conspiracies and so on. I'm not entirely sure if he'll be pleased, angry or both to discover he is right.

Or at the very least, seems to be. Forgive me if I take all this with a pinch of salt. If nothing else, the ramifications of all this are considerable from a legal standpoint. I admit, though, I am not entirely sure there is a legal precedent for how to deal with genetic modification via aliens.

If this is a joke someone please tell me quickly. I'd also appreciate knowing how on earth I've been signed up to this thing. I really don't recall doing it. Is there some kind of unsubscribe option? I can't see one.

Experiences such as the one that you would have most likely had when you learned the number will keep occurring as long as you live in the city, and they can have obvious and unpredictable effects. I apologize for the lack of clarity... By "people like us", I am referring to people who experience pulses or "echoes". They are described in the guide that you were given... We are unsure why they occur, but all of us "found" this network after we first had one. They can cause anything from the appearance of objects that were not there before to mutations. (I can show you an example of the latter, but you would probably rather I didn't. Pulses have turned me into a zombie.) [Probably more beneficial not to skirt it than to, at this point.]
